i had alot of fun playing MGS3 since its a metal gear solid game, no doubt its going to be an amazing game, but i didn't connect to the characters nearly as well as i did in MGS1 and i didnt connect to the storyline anywhere near as well as i did in MGS2. it took a while to love MGS3, but it was worth investing my time into it if you talking about it being the worst of all 4 main games, than yes, it is. but that definitely don't make it a bad game ^,^ if i was told I was the worst MGS game, i'd be honored :P also it took me about 3-4 playthroughs to understand the story properly! also, that previous comment reminded me, the biggest problem i had with MGS3 is that the bosses had no importance whatsoever. You see them, you kill them, nothing changes. if there was no sniper wolf, meryl wouldnt have been shot, otacon wouldn't have fell in love, and we wouldn't have experienced Wolf's Death... one of the saddest moments in gaming.. seriously. if there was no Psycho Mantis... they would've never been able to use Snake to activate metal gear. and look at Ocelot! he started out as just a normal boss, but he ended up becoming the main villian. Every Boss in MGS1 were Crucial to the storyline. if they removed the bosses from MGS3, nothing would've changed really.

since your a nintendo fan, try games like God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Raccoon, Budokai, Kingdom Hearts, Jak, Final Fantasy... of course, in my own opinion, the PS2 games you should try are the Metal Gear Solid series, Silent Hill, Hitman, Tekken, San Andreas, try Psi Ops as well alot of great PS2 games haven't had alot of recognition, so pick up some titles at a rental store that look good, you might be suprised.

I loved the Madcatz Microcon for the PS2, its bloody small but comfortable, big as rumble,... the only problem is it didn't have the best durability also the NES controller kicks ass, its fun to smack the buttons hard while playing
