I have, 3gbs of ram, a Q6600 Quad Core Intel Processor. My current graphic card Nvidia 8800 GT at 512mb. My PC has two PCI Express slots, and I have a SLI bridge still in its plastic wrap. Should I get another 8800 GT and SLI it, or should I get rid of the graphic card (since it is a little old) and buy a completely new card. Granite I want my next upgrade to last me for a few years (2 to 3 years would be great if possible) I don't need to have the power to run every future PC game at max settings for the next 2 years, I would just like the ability to be able to play the newest ones at mid settings and what ever is released already at mid-high settings. What should I do? thanks in advancee

i "heard" not sure where, if your using a 32 Bit Operating System, it will only detect 3gbs, if you have a 64 BIT I think its unlimited to how much you can upgrade.

well after reading your responses, I myself cranked the resolution to my monitors native (1680 x 1050) and turned down my graphic detail and it looked very good =D, ran just as smooth as when it was at 1024x768 so I may just keep it this way. I was playing Crysis if anyone cares lol, im gonna do this to the rest of my games right now

If a game isn't running the desired FPS your getting, what do you turn down first? Resolution or Model Detail? I usually turn down the resolution.

I do miss Marvel vs Capcom, kick ass fighting game, newbies and pros loved it. I've heard of Mugen never checked it out, I may check it out soon.

Right now I have 3GBs of Ram so I guess I'll just leave everything alone for the time being, thanks. Ill just save the XP disc for a time I may really need one.

sorry but I must post this, I need some opinions. A few months ago I bought a Gateway FX541S (from tiger direct) it came with Vista pre loaded on it. However, I found my XP disc last night. So now I'm debating if I should install XP or just keep Vista, I don't want a dual boot, I want one or the other. I heard that when using Vista the game requirements are more demanding, not by much, but they are more demanding. Since I have no intention of playing Halo 2 or Shadow Run. Should I bother with getting rid of Vista just to squeeze a little bit extra power out of machine? If I had to buy XP then obviously the answer would be not worth it. But since I already have it (from my old computer) the only thing im spending is time. So once again, Vista or XP I have both, which way do I go? thanks
