@Master_cheat001 I understand what you are saying, but the general argument is against the principle of adding in micro-transactions and creating free-to-play games. Obviously, we don't need to buy all of these extra purchases to beat the game, but they never should of existed in the first place. As consumers we should expect to get a full game if we pay a full price. To clarify, I am not against DLC that comes out after the full game is finished. It is rather nice to play a whole new section of a favorite game, but I am against a company attempting to get more money out of me for a stripped down game. To reiterate what many others have said, "We speak with our wallets." Let's not tell these companies that we want to continue down this path by spending money on their games.

@Bl4KD37H I played the Lord of the Rings Conquest demo over and over when that first came out. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the game. (The fact that they shut down the servers was very upsetting. I actually enjoyed playing it online.) When I was younger, I remember playing the first Lego Star Wars demo for a long time. I purchased that game and its sequel. Demos greatly influence my purchases. I tend to shy away from free to play games owing to the nature of it being a money pitfall.

The point I am trying to make is, if you make a good game then I will buy it. (A demo is just a slice of that game, so enjoyable game = enjoyable demo.)

@deon99 @Blazvatan I disagree with those statistics also. There are multiple games that I bought because I had so much fun with the demo.

Obviously, everything relates to a business wanting to get the most money possible. Free to play is the easiest way to get way more money in a long term setting than fully developing a $60 game. We speak with our wallets and many gamers have been showing developers that they are willing to buy all of the micro-transactions and such.

"Raymond said players today expect to be able to try before they buy and spend money only on what they want to."

You would think that she should know what a demo is.

@queuing_for_PS4 I don't think you fully understand how Minecraft works. It is not a finished game, especially on the Xbox. The developers are updating behind the PC version with the intent of both reaching the same level. What is wrong with fixing bugs? I'm glad there is a staff that still cares to work and improve the game. I'm glad they give somewhat regular updates instead of leaving the game to die. Just my thoughts.

So instead of cheat codes to help the lazy, we now have microtransactions? Maybe EA will learn one day that their money grubbing is going to eventually lose them important consumers. We can hope. Right?

I like how the game Burnout Paradise gave a FREE expansion of motorcycles and such to the game. They found people enjoyed it on the PC version so they let the console players experience it too. I found that to be a very nice gesture.

The premise for this sounds very familiar. I read a Star Wars Expanded Universe Book about 6 or 7 years ago that covered the underworld of Coruscant. If I remember correctly the guy was part of the criminal underworld. Should be an interesting game none the less.
