Artistic expression has its place in all media, but in a video game saga-like ME3-there's a populist expectation to please the masses. Bioware did not deliver an ending that fed the anticipation built over 3 games and for me, about 130 total hours of play. As for Doom 3, I never played it but it on the surface it doesn't make sense that especially in the future you randomly wouldn't have a mounted flashlight leaving your hands free for combat. And George Lucas' changes to Star Wars were as much a tech demo for Episodes 1 2 3 as they were artistic choices.
Is the author truly sickened that he might not get to play a game "down the road"? Sickened? Is it hard (that's what she said) to support a company that doesn't support you? Are you sad EA isn't your best friend? Do you want them to change your diaper, pat your bottom and tell you you're special?
EA and Bioware don't care about goodwill, nor should they. They care about bringing in that cash to fatten the bottom line. People need to stop pretending corporations should act like their friends just because they like a product.
