You guys are completely over exagerating. Laptop gpu components are rated at much higher temperatures. Gpus typically don't start throttling till 115c(They are made of higher quality silicon), where as in a desktop they shut off. OP you are fine, of course they heat up when you are playing a game, and will not shorten the life span by anything noticeable. 78C is cool for a laptop gpu.
Do you guys really think the companies are idiots? Like of course they test this stuff... otherwise everybody would be rmaing, they are not stupid.
JigglyWiggly_
Are you kidding me? The majority of prebuilts out there especially laptops are put together with substandard parts and horrible combinations of parts that come near to overheating on completely average tasks much less gaming.
Best Armor? Ebony upgraded with Sigil stone and teh reflect shield you get from the daedra lord in Colovia. Best weapon? Goldbrand. . .
Aslyum_Beast
Ebony has a lower armor rating than Daedric and Perfect Madness armor and there are many different ways to enchant your own weapons that will be better than Goldbrand, actually.
Why don't you just not save your game if helpful features that prevent games from being annoying excercises in patience aren't your thing?
Get one of those bases with a fan. Laptops will get pretty hot, but if you're trying to do something to demanding on hardware that can't handle it you run the risk of damaging your hardware so don't push it's limits.
In no order...
Morrowind
Daggerfall
Oblivion
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale 2
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate 2
Neverwinter Nights
Two Worlds
Gothic
Gothic 2
Gothic 3
You can get the Gothic series in the Gothic Universe collection and their are complete editions of Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate featuring the entire series. Neverwinter Nights has a Diamond version with all the official content included. Morrowind and Oblivion have game of the year editions with the expansions included, though Oblivion's does not have all DLC. Two Worlds has an epic edition with extra online content.
Without Shivering Isles Daedric is the best heavy armor, Glass is the best light armor and Daedric are the best weapons. With Shivering Isles Perfect Madness armor is the best heavy armor, Perfect Amber armor is the best light armor, and Perfect Madness weapons are the best weapons.
The Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate series are pretty good, and they'll run on just about anything anymore.
[QUOTE="BladeMaster84"][QUOTE="Makari"] Speaking as a massive Daggerfall fan, you aren't really missing much if you don't go exploring. It's one of those games where a lot of the fun is what you make of it yourself, because the empty wasteland between cities was pretty much all the same except for the ground texture and the weather.Makari
I meant in general with open-world games. Yeah, since Daggerfall was randomly generated there isn't really much exploring there since everything's rather similar. Shame none of those fan attempts to remake Daggerfall with some actuall content between cities ever panned out.
Oh, yeah then totally agreed. :D I did still love running around in Daggerfall's wilderness to see what kind of stuff I found, but I'm odd like that. Though honestly, I think charles_dickens was making a dirty joke more than anything. I gotta stop browsing forums after staying up all night, my brain is stuck in literal interpretation mode.

Size doesn't matter. It's how you use it. Technique.

Only if you don't like exploring. I'd rather have large and empty than ultra-detailed but so small you can see everything in an afternoon.
