If they spent as much time and money on mental health issues in kids than "video game violence" maybe there wouldn't be violence to begin with. If they openly say that these people have mental health issues, then why are they being allowed to play these things because they "cant" determine real from fake? Who's really to blame if thats the case? The parents who are supposed to be looking after the kid teaching right from wrong? Or video games?Something you cannot obtain without a parent, most of the time especially violent ones if you're at these kids ages.
The real issue isn't video games being violent, its lazy parents that don't want to be blamed for how "bad" their kids are. They'll waste their time on this research and find nothing. Video games don't enable people to commit crimes , video games are a new invention as are movies , comic books etc. When are people going to stop blaming entertainment and start taking responsibilities for what their children learn
@SirSka If someone took your likeness and didn't ask , didnt pay you would you be okay with it?What if that game went on to make millions and you saw 0 for it, wouldnt' you care?
@stevenrkorea The"target demographic" is SUPPOSED to be video gamers seeing as the xbox is a VIDEO GAME CONSOLE. Its not that people can't afford it(granted some people have other priorities), some just dont really want it or have a need for it. Doing something smart business wise would be to INCLUDE people who either don't have internet or have a good internet connection. You want to know WHY thats good? Because it makes MORE money. Its stupid and shooting themselves in the foot leaving out potential millions in sales
Its the same as abercrombie and fitch not wanting "ugly people" or "fat people" to buy their clothes because their demographic is "thin and beautiful" people. They're losing money based off that alone. Microsoft would be the same
@Trendkilla_dk You may be an EA hater but they wont die. They make too much money regardless of what people want to happen. I get it, people hate the way they do business, I do too. But they won't be going anywhere anytime soon imo. Madden, Fifa , and NHL all make way too much money that wouldn't keep EA afloat
I disagree to a certain extent. Sure, exposure can make things easy to deal with but it doesn't make you a killer or a bad person. They're wasting money on these researches when they should invest on mental health issues in the kids who do kill. I've played many violent video games and I still cringe at gory movies and now that Hannibal tv series(great show) .
