Is the account you make xbox.com the one you have to use to play on Live? Or are they separate?

Hahaha, sorry, just thought this is a good topic to post my question.  Didn't want to start a new topic when a good one like yours is already made.

So, hmmm, is the account I make on xbox.com going to be the gamertag I play with on Xbox Live?

If I buy a 360 Premium now, is there any chance I can exchange it for one with the new chips when it comes out later? Just wondering because I don't think I can wait 5-6 months for the one with the new chips.

And yes, I know the new chips only make it run cooler.

If I make a gamer card account on xbox.com, is that going to be my gamertag when I play Xbox Live?

Is the battery on that wireless controller recharageable? Because on its product page, it says when it runs out of power you can just plug it in and recharge it. But my friend, who has a 360, says it only came with normal batteries.

Hi, I just read some where on the forum that an updated 360 with a 65-nm Xenon chip and 65-nm Xenos GPU will come be relased around this holiday season, and was just wondering what it is exactly. I don't want to buy a 360 just to see a new and better one come out a month later.

Thanks
