Nothing wrong with 81 metascore. It is just another "good game" but nothing great from these 2 games. I am not impressed at all with Gran Turismo 6 or Forza 5. Drive Club looks like you are watching a movie because the graphics are that realistic.
Forza 5 has a 81 metascore and a 5.0 out of 10 user score..... That is pretty disappointing. Get a PS4 and get Drive Club. You won't be disappointed with that game.
When Drive Club comes out, nobody will ever remember both Gran Turismo or Forza's 81 metascore..... Drive Club will be the new king of driving simulation and will easily beat a 81 metascore. Drive Club makes Forza 5 look like wii game.
Yes. Cartoonish graphics! There is a difference between realistic graphics and cartoonish graphics. The cars don't look realistic with these odd looking bright colors, little detail and with little light reflection. Many others have said the same thing about the cartoonish graphics. For example... Nothing wrong if you like cartoonish graphics but I prefer realistic looking graphics. Here is another poster from the review site.

Drive Club will do better than Gran Turismo 6 (81 metascore) and Forza 5 (81 metascore). Why are people going crazy about a game that scored a measly 81 out of 100 metascore? It doesn't take much to beat a measly 81 rated game. Drive Club makes Forza 5 look like wii game but if you like Forza's cartoonish graphics, there isn't anything wrong with that.
What is wrong looking at 56 critic scores that make up the metascore? What is wrong at looking at user scores way over thousand? Are you seriously ignoring all the gamers who have legitimate gripes against your Forza 5? There is a reason why Forza 5 has a 81 metascore and a 5.0 user score. People who made the $59.99 purchase are hating on it for legitimate reasons beyond just dlc. There are reasons why so many gamers WHO MADE THE PURCHASE are so upset with Forza 5. I think it is hilarious how you can say "Who cares about Forza 5's content". Hello?! Content is what makes a great game! Putting a game out with 14 tracks (BRAVO! A couple more tracks than 1994's Daytona USA) and a billion day 1 DLC garbage should be a huge negative. So boring seeing the same old track over and over and over. You could downplay it and make excuse after excuse for all those gamers complaints (who paid good money for a 50% complete game).
You are one of those gamers who will be paying over $100 for a game and DLC and think it is justified. "I just love these DLC tires"
Gran Turismo 6 and Forza 5 both have an 81 metascore. However, Forza 5 is getting destroyed by the metacritic user score as it is only a 5 out of 10 score. On top of that, amazon users (including amazon verified purchasers) are giving it a 2.9 out of 5 stars. Go with Gran Turismo 6 over Forza 5 but I think the king simulation racer will be "Drive Club". Drive Club is on a whole another level with realistic graphics and it doesn't have cartoonish graphics of Forza 5.
