@gamingdevil800: I believe the worlds are open where when you are on a planet you seem to be able to go anywhere you want. But, i think its not open world in the respect that you probably cant go anywhere in the andromeda galaxy you want at any time from the start. There is probably a degree of linear selections that you make you going to point to point.

Dragon Age Inquistion would be a good example where the maps are open and you have choice on where you want to go but you weren't able to go everywhere from the start.

@sellingthings: I dont have any issues with it on PC. I'm playing using a 980ti and dont have any frame rate or driver issues. It plays silky smooth on xbox one and pc. It just looks nicer on pc.

I really wish this was a xbox anywhere title. I played the original trilogy on Xbox as it started as an xbox exclusive. It will feel weird not playing on xbox this time. But i really want the uncapped visuals of the pc version. Maybe by the time scorpio comes out i will be able to get a second copy on sale.

@chiefwiggum16: I wouldn't say this is good for the playstation brand. As depending on what there holdings are if sony ends upin a downward spiral becuase of there failing movie business the playstation brand could be lost as casuality in a much larger picture.

Sony has many arms that aren't doing well. Playstation is the only bright spot in a sea of debt.

@lcrava: Sony has alot of RPG's produced by third parties. However, first party RPG's from sony aren't a prominent feature in their stable of releases either.

Many third party rpg's do come out on xbox and playstation but not all. I'd love an action RPG on Xbox. I was looking forward to scalebound. However, if it wasn't going to be any good. I'd rather microsoft just have platinum scrap it like they did and try again. The fact Microsoft is willing and looking to get an Action RPG in there line up is exciting. However, I want it to be good.

@dorog1995: Quantum break wasn't broke. It may not have been a game that you enjoyed. But it wasn't broken and unplayable. It had some good idea's. I thought the 30 minute cutscenes between the gameplay was a bit jarring and broke it up to much for my liking. The powers given didn't quite mesh with the gameplay being provided. The time powers should have been given more focus as to often the game broke down into cover shooter. As a cover shooter there are many better choices then quantum break. However, there weren't any issues with that game so egregious that it shouldn't have been released.

Quantum break was a solid 7/10 game and there isn't anything wrong that. If we were talking superman 64 or final fantasy xiv 1.0 you'd have a leg to stand on.

If the game wasn't capable of being as good as promised I think this is better and Phil Spencer is right. How can people be upset about quality control. How many games come out in which people come on here and complain about the quality or how this could happen.

I applaud Microsoft for taking a look at the product your contracted developer was working on and saying our customers deserve better then this and its not up to the quality we expect.

That is a hard decision to make but one more developers need to be able to make. I'm sure millions of dollars were spent on this. However if the product isn't capable of being good there is no point in releasing it.

Good Job Phil!

I think at this point the hype for this game will supercede the game. They might as well just release it and move on at this point. The game has no way to make back the money invested at this point. Recoup what losses you can and learn from it.

@junesxing: I would assume EA. As they hold the keys on allowing backwards compatibility.

@kyelo: most of us are reading between the lines. It's not just flipping a couple switches and spitting out better quality game. If dev's are allowed to charge to basically remaster the game with better textures and a higher frame rate they will. As that is literally the definition of a remaster.

I could see charging upto 20 bucks for 4k texture pack and lighting enhancements.
