I'm pretty sure that 7 and 8 are out on PC, so there's no real incentive to buy it for inferior hardware. If they were to bring it to the 3DS, I'd expect them to remake the game from the ground up for portable hardware. Update/change the graphics, find a way to utilize dual screens, as well as the spotpass features. Then again... we already have Bravely Default, so there's also an argument against it.

2016 release date? I doubt Intel is gonna wait for AMD to catch up. Then again they are so far ahead they've managed to outpace the software market by a solid margin. Tick tock is a beast that is not meant to be messed with.

Are console exclusives flopping hard? There appear to be more than a few decent titles out right now on consoles that are scoring quite well critically. Bravely Default surprised everyone, Fire Emblem is a heavy hitter, Pokemon is still going strong. Then we have the bevy of Nintendo Wii U games that are getting pretty nifty ratings. There's always the edge factor of hating the major players. Also nostalgia goggles and coddling has hit everyone quite hard. So the game didn't have literally everything you wanted. I'd say check your hype, and try having more reasonable expectations. So Destiny and Titanfall fell short of the hype. I doubt it is 6/10 bad. Then again 6/10 is above average. Hardly bad.

I'd blame some of the poor ratings on the general reviewing media side. Too many suddenly feel the urge to shit on everything to be edgy and cool. Others sound almost like hipsters being dragged of the streets. Most important thing to remember about Gamespot, IGN, Kotaku, and Company is that they are all humans with some pretty extreme biases. Sometimes they get paid to get a good review, other times they get sexual favors. Other times the gift basket doesn't have their brand of crackers. Trick is to pull from a variety of sources, and most reliably... ask a friend. The most consistent reviewers are the ones that don't get paid to review games. IE: A friend.

tl;dr: OP has been blinded by hype. His examples are cherry picking the bad while ignoring the good. There's good stuff on PC and consoles, and bad stuff on both.

As far as I know... Tinnitus isn't a condition that'll lead to deafness, but it's certainly annoying to have. Limit your headphone time, and avoid loud stuff. Granted that's just stuff I've heard about. There are other causes for it... sometimes it just kinda is.

Build a huge reset button, press it. Every single issue I've found leads to another bigger issue. I'd say inertia is the biggest issue... the problems we're facing are so large, and daunting that no politician has the balls or knowledge on how to tackle it. I think a good start would be getting rid of all lobbying and politicking. Our elected officials are here to serve us and the state... not political interests. We've kinda lost sight over the decades, and the polarizing views of our politicians isn't helping.

This game is the most infuriating unstable piece of shit I've seen in a long time, forget doing the DLC's, I haven't even been up to see Mr House yet.

Welcome to Obsidian/Bethesda. Please enjoy your IKEA like piece of software. There are a few mods aimed specifically aimed at fixing the bugs and issues in the game. I don't remember which they are, but you can search through the Nexus forums. They have an impressive amount of mods aimed at just bugs.

I don't know why people keep claiming Obsidian fixed the FO3 bugs... since I have all of them on both games. This includes the .ini fix issue and spazzing HDR with crossfire. I'm really hoping the bug test Fallout 4 before releasing it. Otherwise... much as I love this game, I'll be waiting for it to go on sale.

Spend some money and get more exclusives. Then keep them. Right now it seems like MS spends their money on timed exclusives. Hell the Xbone is already losing some of it's big name launch exclusives.

Lost some, gained more. Frankly Sony screwed up big time when they let Insomniac go with Team Microsoft. What used to be a flagship studio for Sony is now going to make (what is hopefully a worthy exclusive) a flagship title for the Xbox One. Sony gained Bungie, but Destiny remains a multi-platform game. Outside of Order 188whatever, the Playstation 4 really offers no compelling reasons to buy it beyond making my Vita it's controller.

At this point MS is doing quite well. Offering a kinect-less version is certainly going to help. I'd go one step further by offering a variety of color options. Throw in a few limited edition consoles for any exclusives that might be coming out. Frankly the entire allure of an exclusive game kinda died out. At this point both Sony and MS could benefit from offering more color options as well as limited editions. In my view, black is the new beige. Boring, pedestrian, and gauche. Offer me some violent red, uranium glow green, trapped in the middle of the ocean blue, and eye searing highlighter yellow. Japan could even get an exclusive Naruto edition in Stealthy Road Cone Orange, and Germany could get a nice golden version to commemorate their victory over Argentina.

It boils down to presentation. Make it shiny and filled with explosions.

You can't. Digital titles are tied directly to the 3DS. If you transfer your data to your new system, the old system will void out the digital content. Your best/only bet is to go to the Nintendo Digital store, and buy a game to put on there. Granted you'll lose money on this. Welcome to Nintendo's rather brilliant system. (Not like you can do this with anything else on the market today.)

Ah yes, Sony has given up on the Vita. I mean... the Vita 2000 is hardly a sign that Sony cares... right? Face it. This is a system that won't be moving millions of games. It has sold about 5-6 million units worldwide? Developer/Publishers will be lucky to move more than a million units for this console since not everyone who owns a vita will want any one game. I image that the biggest issue keeping the Vita back is the price of their memory cards. I assume more people would be open to the Vita if they didn't have to pay what can amount to 50% of the system cost for just some memory.

As for the games issues... Have you actually looked into their digital store? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Vita_games You'll note it's fairly sizable, and diverse to boot. This ignores the ability to play PSP titles, and download other digital games from the PSOne era.

Dear lord, MS acquired 30,000 employees due to a merger, they got rid of a bunch of them to eliminate redundancies. It's hardly an act of desperation. MS will probably make more profits this year than Sony will make for the next several decades.

Pretty much this. I'm actually surprised on how fast they shuttered their entertainment studios. Signs that MS has become far more nimble and capable of adapting. Otherwise... the bulk of their layoffs appear to be from the Nokia acquisition from a few months back. I guess redundant marketing, engineering, and research was not needed. I wish those guys the best of luck.
