Its worked out that way, don't really think its because they were specifically weaker though. And SNES wasn't weaker than Genesis, but it was also behind for most of that gen due to thier late launch.Captain__TrippsA lot of the youth and slightly older crowd had a perception that the Genesis was the cooler console of the two. They had this hedgehog with an attitude and most sports game enthusiasts back then only wanted a Genesis. I, on the other hand, liked them both, but I preferred the SNES by a landslide as it had games that you just could not live without (Super Metroid, all the Mario games, Super Star Wars Trilogy, Batman Returns, Zelda, Donkey Kong Country series, etc.). The SNES did ultimately win after 1994 when a game was released that everyone wanted, Donkey Kong Country.

The thing is that games that are "Just about everything in the game is derivative" never fares well in GS.[QUOTE="Sollet"]

Based on his other statement it certainly seemed as if he missed a few areas as well. Anyway, I'll find out soon enough.
It is still one of the odd man out reviews at the bottom of the pile, like even the most outstanding games receive. Not that it is even a bad score in the first place. It is still being universally praised by the majority.;)

I was expecting it to receive a few reviews around 7.5, so it is not surprising to me. The fact that a 7.5 is the lowest it has received thus far is evidence enough that it is in fact a great game. Regardless, haters are going hate. I know I am certainly looking forward to it.
Metroid: Other M even had some in the 6s out of 10 (or 60/100), and it was still an awesome game.[QUOTE="kuraimen"][QUOTE="finalfantasy94"]For me the highest point in the Castlevania series is still Super Castlevania 4. Even though the ones which came before are harder games I feel Super Castlevania was truly an elegant and well-designed game, on the same level as Super Metroid. I find Rondo of Blood to be better than SCIV....really SCIV was a step back from Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse. While I agree the old ones are way harder then the handheld ones since you can level into a monster and have save spots I still dont see them as complex or elegant. Though I will agree the older ones you need to think more cause of things like going up stairs and falling in death holes cause of those dam snake heads.

SC4 was awesome and sooo much easier to get into then previous Castlevanias? Here are just a few things SC4 does better: The whip can go in 8 directions. The control is just way better. Simon can use the whip as a form of transportation. Although RoB was a awesome game, it's too bad the play control went back the old format (like Bloodlines also) instead of SC4. Thankfully, SoTN and all of the last 2-D games have continued this tradition. I love all the Castlevania games, but Super Castlevania was an advancement in the right direction IMHO.
I think they'll have to do better than this though. These ads are pretty clever, we may find them discouraging to buy Kinect, but I believe the masses will eat this up. Besides the main goal is not to advertise the games, but to advertise Kinect.
Basicly they are saying, "come buy our product, it will bring your family closer together".

[QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"]In fact, I'm usually one of those people who make it until the last boss and don't finish because the boss is near impossible. Games that come to mind- Metroid Fushion,

I love that you said that, I tried for about a month to beat that last boss, but never could do it. After playing Other M, I think I'm gonna give Fusion another go soon. Maybe this time I'll actually be able to finish it. :P
Uhhh, I didn't say that. Some sort of glitch happened. It;s weird how that happened.
