It probably wont be even shown until 2009 sometime, but I'm looking forward to Team Ico's game. I also want to play these games you've shown, esp. KZ2 and FF13.

lol you guys and Team Ico... when you will learn that waiting for Team Ico to announce stuff is like waiting for Home to be released??GreenGoblin2099

The last two games took around five years to make. Now that they are working on the PS3, will this probably make things go faster or take longer? Shadow of the Collossus came out in 2005 and his team supposedly started on the next game immediatly afterwards, and Ueda himself is saying that we will see more very soon. Just how soon? My guess is that we will see more in 2009, though I am not an expert on game production.

Fumito Ueda: "My next project is in production. Obviously, it's a PlayStation 3 game and perhaps we'll be able to announce it very soon!"

Heres the full story of what happened on Toro Station:

"Although he did not disclose any new information on what he's working (at least not directly), Fumito Ueda provided an interesting chat with Toro and Kuro on the 13th episode of the Toro Station marathon Sony Japan is broadcasting this weekend in commemoration of the 2 years since the PlayStation 3 was released in Japan.

After posting his curriculum vitae, describing his start in the videogames industry, joining Sony Japan in 1997 and then working on ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, Toro and Kuro admitted they were very impressed with both games and asked him how he begins work when starting a new project. When questioned on what he's doing these days he moved on to say that he is working on a PlayStation 3 game, and asked fans to look forward to an announcement, which perhaps will come very soon.

Before parting ways with the two cats, he gave them a drawing he made himself showing a huge cat chasing Toro and Kuro, pictured in a way which reminds of Ico and Yorda."

Looks like we will have to wait some more. It seemed like he was going to give some kind of detail. Oh well another time then.

Ueda wants to make games that take away all of the hud stuff and complicated controls, and make gameplay simple and become immensed in the story. While I liked the other two games because of this I would like to see this done in an even better way (How? I'm not sure though, so maybe just forget that.) Maybe do the same thing with more or something.

As for the story, I think having some magic powers would be a good addition to an adventure game that has a story that revolves around gods and sorcery. The ancient sword would be a cool addition, but I like the idea of having powers to manipulate the light and dark. It might make it a really good adventure game.

I hope we get some VIsuals . Has it already happened or the conference will commence?fishman100

It is tommorrow night. Supposedly Team Ico was going to show something at the Tokyo Game event but they didn't, so maybe Ueda will show something on this Japanese show. At the very least wouldn't some more screens be nice?

Is there anybody with some knowledge in game programing that can tell if Ueda's game might have something done that can be shown? All that I know is that we recieved a single screenshot in January on a page which was asking for applications for game designers. After that all the new news was "soon" we will see something. Ueda himself says that he is a perfectionist and both of his previous games were redone until it was what he wanted. After Shadow of the Collossus it was annouced that Team Ico was working on a PS3 game and that was in 2005. Is it likely that we will see anything more about the game this weekend?

Does anyone think that it is likely that Ueda will uncover some aspects of the new game? Or at least something. This guy seems like he doesn't do any kind of interview unless he is talking about or discribing his games. Anybody think the same?

I have been searching for any updates on the new ps3 project from Team Ico and I just came across this news:

"That's right, next Saturday, 15th November, as commemoration of the 2 years since the PlayStation 3 was released in Japan, Sony will have a special 24-hours session of continous Toro Station updates. Among the various guests is Fumito Ueda, who's very famous for his cat-loving portfolio presentations, and his two games, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. We'll have the contents of this special appearance a few instances after it's uploaded at midnight. Come back during the weekend to see what he says!"

I don't know if Fumito Ueda will uncover anything about the new game, but it sure sounds like he could talk about it. If I'm not mistaken this has been the best news since the single picture of the game was released this past January. There is a problem for me though being that I don't speak Japanese. It seems like more info on the game is on its way. Or am I being to hopefull?

Heres where I found this at: teamicogamers.blogspot.com/2008/11/virtual-interview-with-fumito-ueda-on.html
