Steep learning curve? That's just silly. The game is easy to pick up and play, the moves aren't hard to learn. The complex ones may require more work, but that's the point of a game that tries to merge brawler with fighter. I can understand the generic presentation complaint, but not enough to warrant a 6.5 As for the fluidity, I guess that's personal.
Regardless, I enjoyed the beta a whole lot, and I'm loving the game.
I really expected to hate this game, but I love it. I can't wait for the full game. Maybe people will stop abusing Kratos....

Kratos was fine in the older beta, but they said they are nerfing his AP gain. I still dislike his forward square though.
The sheep king has spoken, and I couldn't agree more. The one part I disagree is mainly on the roster. I don't think its bad, it just doesn't live up to what it could have been. So, I'd say okay to good range of quality.
I do not believe the physics system in incorporated into the battle beyond making large knockbacks so people can't take advantage of when you're down as much. Attack effects are generally set amount for landing certain attacks (different for each attack) on an opponent.

As disappointing as the roster is for who they lack, Superbot have done a fantastic job translating the characters they do have into their own game.
Again, it's a first entry, but I definitely epic a bigger budget and I'm hoping Sony gets the essential roster down if they do it next time around. As a first IP, I'm sure most third party were too unwilling to let their characters go into the game. If the game is well liked, they can hopefully change their minds
I'm a believer too :) Didn't like the idea at first much myself, but it's really something you have to sit down and play to enjoy and understand.
I really appreciate the meta-game that comes out of dealing with supers, and the combo system is damn nice. It's really fun anticipating supers, dodging supers, setting up moves, using partners to do some awesome combos and set ups, etc.
There was 2 hours of footage last night with devs playing at the LiveUp event, and it highlighted 2v2 and 1v1, both of which looked great
I am really interested in playing the challenge modes and character trials and I'm interested to see how they incoporate the more obscure IPs into the game (which they confirmed they will do)
As a first entry, it's definitely solid and I hope it continues to grow into something stronger.

Absolutely enjoyed the beta, there is a fantastic meta-game, it's downright fun, it works well, it's intense, it's great with friends, and the challenges, story, and multiplayer modes sound like they are going to be a blast. I am sold on the supers.
To me, the beta was a 9, but I'm going to expect AA
