Hands down one of the stupidest ideas ever. Why don't we also tax food for making people fat and contributing to heart attacks? (something with a more conclusive link than games and violence I'm pretty sure)
Taxing violent games specifically is ridiculously stupid. Taxing violent media is a step above that but still stupid as hell. Just another excuse to take more money from more people. "hur hur we don't like that you're not purchasing Disney movies, pay more now"
Why not tax media with drug use as well for contributing to the drug use in the country?
@kessel21 I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about but levels do nothing aside from unlock a little achievement and give you a number next to your name and an icon. It has even less of an effect than in COD or BF3. As in, literally nothing aside from cosmetics.
@SirNormanislost @Allerletzt @10finalfantasy I just said this isn't something that affects gameplay at all. I said it isn't even like COD. How hard is that to understand? You unlock NOTHING that does ANYTHING by leveling. It has NO effect on gameplay whatsoever.
@10finalfantasy Levels have nothing to do with your performance in the game and is simply a cosmetic thing. It is not pay to win. This is not an RPG or even COD.
I don't see the problem with them having these things but I find the prices a bit on the ridiculous side... silly how high they are. I don't have to buy them and I really won't... but I still think they should be about half what they currently are.
@Derpalon That's my main problem with Steam. I don't hate it, it's far less invasive than other DRM methods. I dislike that I'm locked out of my games if I don't have internet and haven't logged in on my computer or anything like that. It's an annoyance and wish that was handled a little better but I don't know how you can honestly since I don't work on anything like this
@ceromaster @Allerletzt I don't see the sense in attacking anyone honestly. You should go after all of them. Microsoft, Sony, EA, Blizzard, Ubisoft, all of them, anyone who does digital distribution really.
@xsonicchaos @jagcivtec Digital distribution is still quite easily a service. You aren't simply paying for a game and walking off, they have to pipe it to you, they have to store all kinds of information, they have to have it and give it to you somehow.
@RealFabioSooner @Allerletzt You can't resell games that tie a serial to a single account regardless of the method. You act as if Steam has a monopoly on that. It doesn't.
You completely dodge the fact that I said it's not a store preventing you from doing anything and that it's the same as anything that ties a key to a single account. Your ignorance and fanboyism is proven now isn't it?
Tying serials to accounts is done with or without Steam. MMOs have been doing it before Steam was an idea.
@RealFabioSooner @Allerletzt I don't have to prove anything to you. Oh, I'm sure that bothers you huh? Seeing that I don't have to prove anything to you as I'm not arguing on the suit at all. All you're doing is finger pointing and arguing and repeating yourself.
