At this point creativ directors need to follow Tabata's example and stop,caving into these easily offended people. Most of the people complaining about women in games never buy those products to begin with, nor did they ever have the intention to. I'm not saying those voices don't deserve to be heard. However I am saying they should stop wasting breath on something they have no intention of contributing to OUTSIDE of their complaints. Plus, if someone truly has trouble with the lack of women in games, or the appearance of female characters, instead of complaining why not make their OWN game(s) to correct the problem? Whew! That was a lot to get out.

I think the first time I beat Sonic 2, the first time SEGA announce sonic 3 and then later Sonic and Knuckles all while watching the sonic cartoon on ABC Saturday mornings were some of my favorite moments. That and the first time i saw gameplay footage for the Original Devil may Cry back in the summer of 2001, I almost shit a brick.

I know right?!? It's okay in "our" games but not in Japanese games?! How the hell is that supposed to work? So the Japanese are sexist for having revealing character outfits but Kratos is a hero because he sleeps with Aphrodite in-game?!?! I'm confused

I agree. I think people would be a lot less violence if our media and culture in the west did not ENCOURAGE this belief.

I find it odd that in 2013, the "west" still has a generalized attitude that having extreme violence in video games is still more tolerable than even the most minute bit of sexuality. It feels as though people feel they have to choose the lesser of two evils and so violence in games causes less of an uproar than this did as a result of that attitude.

Well remember this: the good folks behind okami, are now Platinum Games!! And they have a good track record so far! Bayonetta, Vanquish, MGR Revengeance and wonderful 101 is coming stateside on the 15th!!

You do realize if you take said items to another country where they don't support our service (I.e., iPhone put in airplane mode, iPad put in airplane mode, blu ray player hooked too tv while deployed in Afghanistan) that they can all still be USED regardless of having Internet connected to them, don't you?
