I still don't quite understand the argument, for players who don't have time to invest to unlock items and such in games, therefore the best solution is microtransactions. I think some things need to change with this perspective, it is obviously a way to generate money, otherwise if that was the real reason then the developers would have changed the way items are unlocked, if required at all. Perhaps developers could cater for both types of player and have the option to unlock stuff progressively if they want, or just to get items when they would like instead, theres no difference here except the developers can't hide behind some bullshit microtransaction approach. Let me be clear, there isn't anything wrong with microtransactions as a business model, however it is absolutely imperative that it isn't exploited, take Valve as a great example of how microtransactions are done right. In particular with Dota and CS:GO, only cosmetic items here. I don't think any game over $40 should be allowed to use microtransactions, you've already paid for the content, why should there be any option to allow for that content to be basically paid for twice. It is such crap. How does everyone else feel about this?
@mesome713: Gamespot has lost a lot of great editors and reviews staff, gained some good ones, but things aren't what they used to be on here, where the bloody hell has Chris Waters gone, I know he still works here but he's never on the lobby.
@ArabrockermanX: He wasn't manufacturing merchandise or anything mate, he was throwing a party, this is just bullshit, why the **** would the pokemon company care about a measly 4k, that money would mean shit to them. The pokemon company should encourage this kind of thing, it affirms their brand with the fans
That's pretty funny coming from the guy who has been making mario for 30 years, get a pc mate plenty of new and interesting titles that are far from boring.
@SweatySasquatch Yeh there could be a better way to display all that information, great update on it though, but maybe some tabs for different things they have implemented
@Pilkkari I think they will eventually merge with giant bomb, the two teams have for a little while now been on eachothers programming and with the lay offs the other week...
