@alucardswrath: I used to really love this site, but in the last few years they have really changed for the worse, adding in censorship and not really producing game media content that is engaging, they are just a clickbait website that focuses on fb crap. So disappointed

Why are you guys bleeping out some swear words and then not others, Chastity like 6 minutes in says shit, and then a minute later Rob says it, but its bleeped. I can't understand why this is the case? Gamespot used to be a great website, I feel like it's really lost its ability to honestly communicate with the audience.

@Ultima_Dragoon: The marketing was probably pretty weak. I'm in AUS so I couldn't say too much on that. I really hate the logo, that fucking dead smiley face. Don't make an emoji your logo, it's fucking stupid.

@WuShogun212: Yeah I played the beta and it didn't really gel with me. I think visually the game design is really boring, all the characters look the same and I think the way they tried to create "new archetypes" was done really poorly. Take TF2 and Overwatch, good strong simple design, it works so well, big dudes are slow and have lots of hp, slim characters are nimble but easier to take down. The visuals of the game are so important in that kind of information, I think the whole UI and layout was very poor. So much cluttered information, nothing really seemed clear to me. Look at Cliff's previous gears games. The UI has a very unique and dirty kind of bloody style, but the information is very clear. There is hardly anything on screen, in the menus etc. Actions like active reloading change the colour of bullets, so you immediately understand there is a change, the audio design also changes with this too.

In terms of character design, I think they were completely boring, all wearing suits of futuristic armour (except the robots) they just didn't marry to any kind of archetype which means these new archetypes they aimed to create needed to be really distinct.

I really like Cliff B. and I was a bit disappointed in the game itself but I greatly respect what he is trying to do in an already saturated market I hope he continues to improve the game over time.

@drviking71: I'm not going around to every thread defending the game, I am just commenting on the content that gamespot have put up, If you actually read what I have been posting then you would know I am not trying to get my hands on a turkey sandwich. Instead of jumping to

Instead of jumping to ridiculous conclusions and being a prick to me (why did you need to use quotation marks for mr?) how about you try to understand the situation and come up with a reasonable opinion. If anything you have been the one on every thread trying to tear down the game for no real reason (smells fishy, can you see it?). I have never denied the technical issues for the game, I just believe technical issues are one aspect of the game and perhaps you ought to think about the content as well when forming a review of it.

@RossRichard: All I'm saying is, let's see what the whole game actually is before we review it.

I've played around two hours of the game so far, and really enjoying it, however, so far the open world they have built doesn't feel like it's a character as the developer says it should. I think the biggest thing here is that NPCs have zero interaction with Lincoln, they don't say anything to him or to eachother in the world, for example in the Mardi Gras mission you walk through the middle of the festival, an enormous amount of detail has been constructed here in terms of the environment and the people in the area, lots of great animation and movement, it falls short however as there are no conversations going on, npcs look at eachother and gesture that they are conversing, but you can't overhear any dialog, just some sound effects in the audio clip. It doesn't feel seamless and it taints these experiences and portions in the game that should be so delightful to play. I am enjoying the game, but these shortcomings are very disappointing and I'm not sure if they are oversights from development or intentional due to time and budget constraints. Also, where the heck are the motorcycles at?
