Interesting! While playing through previous Total War games this concept has often come to mind. It's always like a natural fit so I'm excited to see what Creative Assembly come up with. Good luck, team!

@torres_unix I would argue that it came pretty close, especially in terms of scope and richness of the universe. It's just a shame that the core story didn't pan out quite as well as many had hoped, though I must admit that despite ME3's problems I didn't find it was awful as many fans did. It soured the series a bit for sure, but didn't ruin it by any means.

I may be alone in this, but I still think that if a Mass Effect movie is indeed going to be made, it would be preferable to see a story that would actually take a risk and not simply follow the events of the games. In fact, I would prefer to see a movie that didn't follow Shepard at all, not because I dislike the character, but because it would be far more compelling to see a story surrounding a new set of characters, locations, events, etc. Set it against the backdrop of the original game if you must (thatmay well be the sensible choice for many people), but lets see it from another perspective. I just don't think that simply going through the motions and reliving the key moments of the games but in another format is a particularly interesting direction to go. I sure that this is ultimately a forlorn hope, but still.

This sounds so much like an concept from the Molyneux parody account on Twitter. I'm not sure if that's more of a reflection on the quality and accuracy of the account itself, or whether this is simply a window into Molyneux's madness. Either way, I am at least curious about this project.
