LoL if u gonna need the internet to play with console then in my point of view there is totally no point in buying one, because for that you just buy an PC, because thats best platform to play games online. To me console is the thing that can be taken in places where you cannot have internet like grandmothers village. I'm PC user, but used to have a playstation 10 years ago :). PC is a future believe me

@Halloll Or Pride of Hiigara but beefed up, with some long range cannon/s for gods sake or some nice abilities like shield for friendly forces or power increases, some real mothership purpose not just purely as simple carrier with pathetic pew pew machine guns. Such a massive ship c'mon.

This was the best game series I ever played. Relic did very good job on everything, especcially I loved nice long interesting cinematics and superb music, it felt like playing movie/game at same time. I wish new publisher would hire Relic or a new developer would follow Relic style of making the Homeworld

@Estel78 @andrew_ribbons @torres_unix You forgetting that you comparing finished product cost with project which has still 2 years to go, Im 100% confident to say that looking at trend going, they will collect up to 20 mil. easy in those 2 year time.

@GTAKing11 Game are not even in the pre-Alpha status as it was mentioned, yet muppets like you probably can't read :) (Although you probably don't have a clue what Alpha testing means anyway lol)

@Frost259 That's why you pledge/invest amount of money you can afford, you sound like those devs are holding gun to your head asking for money lol. Imagine this like a lotery ticket purchase - when you go to buy lottery ticket you dont spend whole your savings for it, no you just buy that amount of tickets for what you can afford to loose, with difference that in Star Citizen project you still have a right for a refund if you see that that idea is going the route u didnt expected, so do not sound so dramatic, this is not an end of the world, lol. Also in beginning of your post you sound that you totaly didnt any research about what are you commenting, so I would suggest you to stop this practise lol.

@shruteshkumar exactly to the point, me too looking at the games and most of them are so childishly easy and not chalenging, with little things to do or routes to take, and short. They make games for mainstream trying to please all people from 5 year old to 30 year old, which is bull.hit.

@topeira Dont forget that most games are being published by middle man aka EA which takes a big chunk from those 20 mil. Using publisher like that its possible to make game fast because you can hire a very big team of programmers and etc. thats why initial costs of game like that is very high and they tend to trow hastily made game out in the shops to get those 20 mil. back. While in Star Citizen model you can have small team working slowly but with quality and low cost over a period of two years can produce much better quality game than publisher model. Game is only being started to develop, in 2 years time Im sure they will generate 20 mil. easy
