As a long-time fan of the Oddworld games, I'm thrilled to see that the franchise has regained its former glory. Stranger is a bold, unique and quite wonderful gaming experience, and while it's a completely different type of game from what Oddworld Inhabitants has done before, it's fundamentally the same type of experience and that's what makes it so special. Absolutely gorgeous graphics, inventive gameplay, difficulty that can (at times) feel unfair until you finally figure out what you're doing wrong, a genuinely interesting story with a genuinely unexpected plot twist (even though I was expecting it) - it's a real stunner. Not that much in the way of replay value, unfortunately, but I'm very glad to have gotten all the way through.
