If you have NCAA '09, don't bother with this one. NCAA 10 just took a pretty good thing and ruined it.

The same problem exists with the discrepancies between difficulty levels is too extreme, but it's even more too extreme than before. If you want to feel that you've gotten a fair game from the CPU, forget it. Play on Freshman level and it's almost too easy, but not as easy as previous versions. Play on the next level (Varsity), and expect your defense to not move, much less tackle, unless you control the player. Also expect all of your kickoff team members to be laid out as soon as they're slightly touched, and to stay on the ground until they are no threat whatsoever to the kick returner. Expect to NEVER be able to catch a player after he's passed you, and you'll never be able to outrun a defensive CPU player. Expect that you will throw an interception anytime it's most important that you don't. Expect that nobody will block, especially on special teams and on run plays, and the defense will already know what you're doing anyway and teleport to tackle you so it doesn't matter. Expect to get sacked even on dive plays. And don't even try a QB sneak because he just falls down at the line of scrimmage. I have no idea what this game is like online but it's definitely a step down in my opinion regarding single-player. The methods used to make it challenging are way too obvious and make it no fun. I keep playing because I am a football junkie and I made the mistake of trading in '09 for this. This game makes me wonder if I need some anger management classes.
