Graphics: 9.5 Game play: 10 Music: 10 Sound: 10 Story: 10 This is quite simply the best game I have EVER played! It is probably the reason why I am so interested in games today because after MGS, the standards were raised to all new heights. Graphics: wow, what can I say except… stunning. They are near perfect for its time and put many other games to shame during 1998. The only downside was that the facial expressions where blurred out, but other than that the attention to detail was tremendous. Game play- story: well you are an ex-soldier brought back to duty by your former commander. You go by the code name, Solid Snake. Your mission is to infiltrate the enemy's base to find out information about the terrorists, and whether they can launch nuclear missiles or not. You also have secondary tasks to save a few political figures, but your main concern is NOT to be discovered. You are the perfect spy who can and should get out of any situation. You can knock on walls to distract enemies, leave footprints, crawl, and shoot your way out of trouble. The enemy AI in this game is excellent as they will call for back up when they spot you, when this happens you know you have to run for your life. Another great thing about this game is the Bosses, they all have there own strengths and weaknesses, and you will have some very memorable battles against them. But you don't have to believe me when I say this game is one of the best, if not the best game… go check out all the websites that will say the same thing. If you have a Playstation and no MGS, then its quite obvious what you need to do! Add the best game ever to your collection now!
