The hype given for this latest installment of a great series does not live up to what it should have been.

It's hard to find a good modern FPS game these days when COD seems to set the standard for excellence. Being an avid fan of all the MOH games in the past I must admit that along with other gamers I had high hopes for this latest installment. To my avail the hype surrounding this game only put it on a higher pedestal to fall from.
When criticizing MOH for what it is with comparisons aside this game is relatively good. To the not so avid FPS gamer this will look and feel like an upper tier modern FPS. The good graphics are there, the storyline is decent, and the gameplay expected. When comparing MOH to superior FPS there are some things it lacks.
First and foremost the single player campaign is very short for a game of this caliber. If you're an avid gamer like myself and play your first run through on hard difficulty you'll finish this game in a little under 5hrs. The hard setting felt as though it should have been more like "casual" or "normal".
The level environments seemed somewhat repetitive. Most of the game you'll find yourself fighting in the mountains with almost no urban environments. Most of the game I was waiting for a change of environment, when I thought it would happen, the credits rolled.
There were not many disappointments that I found in this game but the ones that were found were major. Although a good FPS game this would be better played as a game rental or late buy.
