Just Cause 2 Video Review

$3 impulse buy on steam.  

This is one of the best games I've ever played.  I guarantee it will be one of the best games you'll ever play as well.  I checked a bunch of sites, and the best rating I saw was a 9.  Okay, I can live with that, but definitely no lower than 9.  I'd probably give it a 9.3. 

If they combined Uncharted's cover and fight system with the massive world in Just Cause 2, you basically get the perfect game.  The game can get a little repetitive since you are basically infiltrating the same military installations over and over again.  The key is, you need to get creative and do the infiltrating in different ways.  Sometimes do it by helicopter, sometimes by parachuting in, ambushing by a armored vehicle, etc).  

If you stay creative, you won't get bored.  There are so many things to do in this game.  I've been playing for 85 hours, and am 47% finished.  I'm in no way a completionist, it's not my nature, but if I find the right game, I'll finish what I can.  I'll go 90%+ on this one for sure!!  I downloaded it free on PSN (best deal ever!!).  It's only $20 on Amazon.  I strongly advise buying this game!

I got this free from PSN+ the other day, i give it a good runthrough when i finished with borderlands (which i also downloaded free from PSN+)

I'd give it a 7.0 - mostly because the story and missions are extremely bland and the handling for most of the vehicles is shoddy at best.  Everything else is fairly solid.  I didn't have a whole lot of issues with the targeting, but this is a game that rewards you with blowing away everyone, rather than precision.  Still, it would be nice to see if a Just Cause 3 can allow for a more rewarding stealth approach to missions.  That, and a better control system for flying fighter jets (apart from getting you from Point A to Point B on the other side of the ridiculously huge world extremely fast, they weren't very useful).  They should've incorporated a targeting system to launch missiles because otherwise you mostly crash when you fly and try to aim at ground targets at the same time.

This game craps all over GTA4 I really don't see how it got such a low rating... This game should have got a 9 easy.

i have never played this game but ihave played mercs 2 and this almost looks like a mirror image of it...... and these guys gave mercs 2 like a 4 or something and this gets an 8?

So... He didn't realize you could click the right analogue stick to improve your accuracy? Head shots are easy and consistant with me, but you have to zoom in by clicking the right stick

Just a random question to Kevin VanOrd: Okay, this is completely off-topic, and really not that important, but why do you pronounce the word "vehicle" like VEE-hi-kul instead of Vee-i-kul? I rented this game when it came out in March, I forgot how much fun it was to grapple people to a vehicle, and dragging them across the pavement.

Just Cause 2 has an open world so big, you'll take ages to travel across it. But there is so much to do, so many addicting collectibles to find all the time, and the environments looks amazing. The enemies are very annoying though, and never leave you alone, and the story and voice acting are terrible. Still, the explosions make up for the problems in this awesome action adventure game!

just beat story and i am only 27% complete lol spent 21 hours on it so much to do most of that time i was just messing around

This and Assassin's Creed II are the best looking 3rd person games.
