From the makers of Crash Naughty Dog have done it again.

User Rating: 8.5 | Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy PS2
After Naughty Dog stopped making the Crash games they started work on a new franchise called Jak and Daxter.

Story

Well Jak and Daxter go to an island and Daxter ends up losing his human form and gets turned into a strange creature and he wants his human form back . They must collect Precursor Orbs to move on and learn more about their quest.

Gameplay

It shares similiarities to Crash but the collecting of orbs to move to further levels make it feel like Spyro more than Crash by doing certain tasks. You play mini games and other such things. Sometimes it can be hard figuring out how to get some or where to go next but it works well.

The controls you have the standard jump, spin attack, high jump, body slam and the d pad makes him run. You also gain power ups for a certain amount of time some which power platforms one which makes your attacks stronger and one that shoots fireballs. Nothing revolutionary but the game does seem to work well. A huge world to explore and plenty to see and do. Also there are day and night cycles during the game and that probably changes in terms of orbs you can collect.

You can ride all sorts of vechiles like a jet ski and some others as well. You life is in the top right corner of the screen and if you get hit 3 times you die simple as that but you can gain health in the game.

Graphics and Sound

Nice beautiful just stopping shows how much work was put into this game. The size of the land is massive and its yours to explore. The sound is quiet good to some good music in there and the dialogue is quite funny too on Daxter.

Lastability

Quiet a while about 10 to 15 hours but you will probably play it again though.

Overall Opinion

An excellent game with good graphics and awesome gameplay. Not the best platformer on the Playstation 2 but a solid effort from t6he makers of Crash.
