Jak and Daxter is the beginning of an amazing storyline and chain of PS2 legacies, of course an overall great game.

User Rating: 10 | Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy PS2
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, really sticks to its name. It is a legacy, which boosted up sony's Playstation 2 and Naughty Dog itself. For those who don't know, this game is similar to Crash Bandicoot, knowing that both were Naughty Dog creations. Jak and Daxter is one of sony's best 3D platformer, next to Rayman 2 of course, and definitely deserves a 10. Even though the game is intruigingly easy and a bit cut-short, the game should leave you satisfied.

Overall, the storyline is a bit simple and understanding, everything going good, but not following orders leads into trouble and mishap. But after the intro and the beginning game training, the storyline becomes extraordinary and more interesting, leading to more excitement and gameplay. The playstation 2 series of Jak (and his furry littl sidekick Daxter) vary from jungle exploring to weaponry training to car racing, and packs hours and hours of entertainment. The Jak and Daxter legacy start off with an unsurprising rating of E for everyone. But the next games, including the PSP (playstation portable) debut Daxter, got a rating of E10+ and T for Teens. This could've affected Sony's overall popularity. Thanks, SCEA.

Jak and Daxter includes an interesting currency of egg-shaped objects known as precursor orbs. But the main goal of the game is to collect ancient artifacts known as power cells. You don't have to collect all 100 power cells to beat the game, but if you do, it shows a short clip scene that the second game picks up at. Also, this game includes a rare substance known as eco that quite obviously helps you throughout the game, from running fast to massive strength to shooting fireballs from your hands. Take that, Mario!

Jak and Daxter:The Precursor legacy is a brilliantly-imaginated fantasy-adventure third person game. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes all video games, especially crash bandicoot and rayman. Never underrate this game, because it is just amazing.
