A number of bad gameplay design choices prevent this otherwise ok game from being a worthy successor (in-depth review)
Total War has long been a series of games known for their relative consistency in gameplay and in quality, but just like with the real Rome, the sands of time tend to shape and corrupt. So how is the newest installment o... Read Full Review

After the turn 217 in campaign mode the game always CRASHES, I've tried everything, it's impossible to proceed.

Rome II is an ambitious game that is so focused in excelling in all areas it succeeds in none.
I had a high hopes for Rome II despite all the negative press it received on release. Unfortunately, 11 hours playing the game I feel that the whole thing is essentially a big mess. Let's start with the graphics. I'... Read Full Review

Very disappointed with the game. Battle AI has so many bugs, they spent time on graphics, but nothing on AI.
Really disappointed with this game. All battles are really short and feel rushed. Units run at incredible speeds, battle strategy means very little as the AI makes horrible decisions and mostly charges and runs away. The... Read Full Review

CA pre-order money making scheme (a broken release)
This is a huge disappointment. I'm a big fan of the series, I've played all of them and know what bugs they had each time they released a new one. However, everyone of the predecessors was playable even if it had some bu... Read Full Review

As software it works. As art it falls flat. The short moments of fun are too widely spaced to justify the time expense.
This is a difficult game to review. Given the number of "10" and "0" reviews, feelings are obviously mixed. As a software product, the game basically works. Yes, there occasional bugs. Yes, the game does freeze dis... Read Full Review
