1. Discover Artifacts in Randomly Generated Maps

   When you start a randomly generated map, it is possible to find out the location of all the artifacts in the map at the start. To perform this trick, you simply go to the record function in the main menu and begin recording. You then go to the watch function and select the recording you just made. While in the recording, click the All Visible selection on the top right. You can now view the entire map and find all the planets with artifacts.

2. Increase chance of Artifacts and Planet Bonuses

   If you want to increase the chance of a planet having an artifact and/or planet bonus, you can use notepad / text editor to change this.
   
   To perform this trick, you need to generate a map using the map editor and save the map. Next, find the map file (it has a .galaxy extension). This is usually found in C:users/(name)/AppData/Local/IroncladGames.
   
   Search for the Map Designer folder and find your map. Open it in your text editor.
   
   Near the top of the file are 2 lines called planetArtifactDensity and planetBonusDensity. Change the numbers behind them to what you want the probability to be (note this uses decimals, not percentages, i.e. 1.0 = 100%).
   
   Be aware that this is a global change, so if you set the number to 1.0 to give yourself guaranteed artifacts, you also guarantee that all other players also get the same chance to find artifacts.
   
   While you are in the file, you can also change additional items, such as distance for your home planet, what type of planets you start with, number of additional planets you can get, and starting research completed on your home planet.
