All in all, along with NHL 2K8, NHL 08 is also a fantastic hockey game.
Just by looking at the back of both NHL 2K8 and NHL 08 boxes, it's readily apparent that EA and 2K are back at war with one another. What with both games launching at nearly the same time, there are a lot of similarities... Read Full Review

Fun game with great controls, but suffers a few problems in multiplayer.
I have never played an NHL game before, so I can't make compelling comparisons to previous games in this franchise. This means that hopefully I have a fresh perspective on the subject. NHL 08 doesn't have a story per ... Read Full Review

NHL 08 for the PS2 is in all essence a nod to it's predecessors in every available sense, and that is mainly where it's downfall lies, and with it living in the shadow of it's younger more curvy and voluptuous sister gam... Read Full Review

NHL 08 Is simply a great game. The skill stick has made the game great.
NHL 08 is the best hockey game ever. The skill stick has brought hockey games to the next level. One timers and the dekes are also very realistic. This year spin moves and the Datsyuk Dangle. The hit stick is very sim... Read Full Review

At the end of the day, the proof is in the gameplay, and that's what makes NHL 08 the excellent game that it is.
We're going Duck hunting. The NHL has been on an arduous quest to expand the sport of Hockey to the southern United States for the last couple of years. With the Tampa Bay Lightning winning Lord Stanley's Cup in 04, t... Read Full Review

Small glitches and AI quirks suck some of the fun out of an otherwise near-flawless game.
Historically, EA Sports' hockey games have been atrocious. They were either too fast or too slow, included too much hitting or too heavy a reliance on the one-timer. Luckily, NHL 08 takes a big step towards changing th... Read Full Review
