Best space fighter/shooter game ever, period.

Gameplay: Even better than the first, better story, faster, and more twists than ever. The game once again puts you in the seat of a space fighter but this time you're not battling Vasudans, you're battling the Neo-Terra... Read Full Review

This game came out 1999, I still play it!

This game is still one of the best dog fighting games to date. It is an instant classic, I've grown up playing the entire Descent series by Interplay and this one is probably the best out of all of them. I still will pla... Read Full Review

A great space combat sim, even for today. Because of the FSO project, graphics are updated, and campaigns are plenty.

First of all, this game can be hard to find for a good price. It's worth going to www.gog.com to purchase a DRM-free download for a very good deal. Also check out www.hard-light.net to get FSO graphic/sound improvement... Read Full Review

    Saving the best for last

Freespace 2 was the last, but greatest, spacefighter sim. It combined the best gameplay mechanics of the legendary X-Wing and Wing Commander franchises and wrapped it up with high production values and a thoroughly engro... Read Full Review

    Epic space combat sim

This game was an incredible experience for me. It has a style of combat piloting in space that is fun and intense with some beautiful scenery. The dogfights are so fun because you can use the boost to make your fig... Read Full Review

A true classic. Very possibly the best Sci-fi sim in existence.

It's a real shame that despite the fact that this game won so many awards, it flopped like a dead fish in sales. Easily an instant classic, filled with a highly intriguing storyline, tons of ships, a clever AI system, an... Read Full Review

    Simply put: perfection

Let's face it, the space sim genre is dead. Freespace 2, originally released back in 1999, could in a way be viewed as the swan song of the genre, with pretty much everything one could ask for in a game. The controls are... Read Full Review

Years after its initial release, this game still rocks.

I am not new to the Descent world, in fact, I originally owned both Descent and Descent 2, but, unfortunately, I missed out on the Freespace portion of the series. This game was recently released on gog.com and it's wor... Read Full Review

Blowing crap up never felt so good...

This is, without a doubt, the best space sim ever made. i haven't even finished the game yet, and i already know that. Its predecessor, (The Great War) was a phenomenal game, and kept my interest for 10 years. It wasnt u... Read Full Review
