As with the NES version, if you reset to the title screen, you will hear an alternate version of the title music theme (reset by pressing L + R, and choosing to Reset NES).

Dark Racer
If you push five opponents during a race and make them crash (without crashing yourself), you'll turn into a dark or "evil" version of the character which is always going at max speed. If you crash in this state, you'll go back to being the regular character.
