Donkey Kong 64: the ultimate collect-a-thon. And, unfortunately, the reason Donkey Kong isn't as popular nowadays.
Rare was no newcomer to the 3D platforming genre in 1999. The skillful Banjo Kazooie was released the year before and, while it followed (maybe too) closely the Super Mario 64 formula, it showed moments of true inspirati... Read Full Review

Save Donkey Kong Country, DK 64 is probably the best DK game to date.
This game is Donkey Kong's first true 3D experience, save his debute on the SNES. Here, you'll find numerous reasons to explore the vast levels and collect seemingly endless coins, bananas, tokens, ammo, grenades, and mo... Read Full Review

Donkey Kong enters a new dimension
Donkey Kong already started his career in the third dimension with the highly successful Donkey Kong Country trilogy. With the release of the N64 came Donkey Kong 64. The game compares to two other big-name N64 games, Su... Read Full Review

Donkey Kong the Man
You like Mario, Zelda, and Kirby? The forgotten factor is the infamous Donkey Kong. I know the Nintendo 64 is now in the past, but this came just keeps on giving. You play as five different "Kongs' you have been attacked... Read Full Review

Rare did a good job with this game just a little bit boring.
This was a pretty good game (for something made in a month.) but kinda hard and a tad bit boring. Story: King K. Rool has crashed his ship into DK island and steals all of the golden bananas and kidnapped all of donke... Read Full Review

This is possibly one of the greatest games their is.
To me, this is the greatest of the donkey kong series; after this, the donkey kong games just get horrible and repetisious. You can truly get lost exploring the amazing open worlds. David Wise also continues to have amaz... Read Full Review

Donkey Kong 64 would have to be the most epic adventure of its series!
I'll never forget... It was so long ago when this game first hit the shelves! It was October 31st 1999 when the N64 was in its hay day! This game just made my day when I first played it! In fact... I wasn't even suppos... Read Full Review

This is up there with the great RPG's like Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. Perhaps surpassing them in the process.
Donkey Kong 64 is your typical Nintendo 64 3D RPG adventure game. DK64 excels in a platforming sense and difficulty as well. Whether you are a top-notched gamer or a casual one this game will have you wanting more. Wi... Read Full Review

It's a long game but it earns every second.
When I put in the time spent playing, I assume that it's just the time you spent wanting to beat the game and not the time you spent trying to get 101%. If it was the latter than by God it's 100+ hours. DK64 is basically... Read Full Review

Another great platformer to add to the Rare collection.
Donkey Kong 64 is unbelievable. It is ENORMOUS. There is so much stuff to do, which is like crack to me as I had mentioned in my Banjo-Kazooie review. There are so many cool things that you have to love it. Before ... Read Full Review
