the post a "i encountered a racist on xbox live" story....

I am sorry if this is not allowed on xbox 360 section of the forums, i am kinda confused since it has something to do with xbox live.

Well anyways here is my story

One day i was playing a ranked match on gears of war. The match was 19 rounds war machine. I asked a questio, who in here is getting halo 3?, well 3 of the players said halo sucks and then the racist came in saying i hate jews. I said dude that is racist. He said no that is not racist you must be a jew. Well 12 rounds into the game and the guy was still talking negatively about jews, blacks, hispanics and asians. And here is how it went,

Me: Dude if you do not shut up with that racism i leave a negative feedback and file complaint against you

Him: You must be a jew!

Me: Ok i am filing complaint

Him: Oh don't worry if that makes you happy then do it, some day or another you will into the wrong shower and get killed by poison gas

Me: WOW.

Him: *kept on being racist*

Yeah. It's hard to try and shut some up especially if you can't see them. I know how you feel. Actually, throughout high school I never watched South Park. And the kids who did would call others a Jew as a insult(in relations to Kyle and Cartman). And for the longest time I could never understand until I watched the show; and I realized what the hell was going on. I personally have used sterotypes to make jokes, and I love stand-up comedy from Bruce Bruce to Maria Bamford. But from what I've seen there is a difference between everyone laughing with you and being insulting.

Anyway, I encountered racism on Xbox Live playing SW: Battlefront II. Surprisingly in highly competitive games you do have idiots online. But I believe the PC online community is extremely different then what you see on Xbox Live or the PS Network. It might just be me, but I've had nothing but good company while playing online on my PC.

I am actually seriously considering cancelling my Live subscription. Nothing like the enviorment you get on pc. I was actually called a noob and heckled continously on Halo 2 for saying I was a PC gamer. They kept talking about how computer games suck.

I knew this one cool older guy on Rainbow Six and everytime a "African American" person came in the room he kept saying "Get outta my room nagger" he said it so many times and he would tbag the guy and like oh yeah you like that i did that to your woman 200 years ago...

When I meet someone racist and listening to him/her go on and on, I simply cut in and say....

"Ladies and gents, the height of white supremacy...running his mouth off on a videogame"

That normally gets the room laughing, then the racist moron goes on to say...

My Reply...

"Now now, if you were to leave your basement you'd be left without an Xbox 360, your only means of launching brave racial attacks."

Suffice to say it keeps on and on, and I keep twisting the words, using them against him... I'm very witty. Then eventually he just leaves...probably to read a playboy or the latest comic book.

Its actually pretty disgusting to have to face racist abuse in life, let alone when you're just playing video games

This one guy recently kept saying to people "go back to being the son of Abraham" all the time so I checked his gamercard and his motto was"monkey see, monkey jew". I just thought wtf and filed a complaint

It would be good to haev a name and shame sticky for abusive players but we might get sued for slander lol

yeahonline gaming is pretty bad.on both Live and the PSN. it's one of the reasons i don't really play online that much. not because i am sensitive but because it is irritating and ruins the game having to listen to that.

It's not the same thing in school. Maybe if you go to a rich stuck up high school but in the high school I went to people wouldn't dare say some of the things you hear on xbox live.
