My girlfriend loves watching me play games, especially scary ones. She treats it like a movie, and tbh I think gets more into the experience than I do. She likes to be my navigator, she'll be all like "go in that door, you haven't been in that door yet", *monster pops out* "There's a monster in front of you, shoot it shoot it shoot it!!!". And I'm all like "Yeah I think I can see that thanks hun" as she cuts off circulation to my arm from tight squeezing :P
Im married, and my wife loves watching me play games with a good story. So far she likes Dead Space. She likes condemned, the Orange Box, Silent hill, etc.

Yeah that's usually how it is for me when I was dating. I can seem them getting bored with shoot-em-up games but it's always been my experience that most girls really enjoy watching me play scary games. Just invite her over and play the game with the sound up and the lights off. :shock:

Blehh. I'm trying to get my g/f into video games and it's working. When we're not watching movies or out somewhere or doing other things we go to the living room and she plays Feeding Frenzy or we play Rock Band/Guitar Hero because she likes those games. She also likes watching me play Silent Hill Homecoming. Just try finding a game that would interest both of you. And for those here who are trying to imply other things they do with their g/f instead of play video games, all tha is great and wonderful but sometimes it's just nice to chill with the women and play some video games. Try it sometime. If she's worth half a spit she'd at least try to enjoy what interests you.
My girlfriend likes making sarcastic remarks and making fun of whatever I'm playing, especially if it has embarassingly cheesy cutscenes.
When I rented Mario Galaxy, she said it was the gayest thing she had ever seen and that if I enjoyed it I must also like having sex with men. Her words, not mine. I also remember her being pretty relentless back in the day when I played Max Payne. She just couldn't stop making fun of the noir style narration.
Reading the posts, it seems like girls like watching people play scary games. My sister used to watch me play Resident Evil 4 when she had nothing to do.
Haha I deal with the same kind of problem every day. But things are getting better, I think she has realized that shes fighting a battle she will never win lol.

Me and my ex (for about 3 days now) use to play Rock Band and Guitar Hero all the time. She even played Halo with me a few times. It definately helps a relationship.
I live with her, she knows i play games, thats who i am and part of what i do with my time. Take it or leave it. By moving in she forfeited her right to even mention it, period.

My girlfriend almost play's as much video games as i do sometimes...she pwns so much at SCIV and NHL 09 . I get right pissed but dang she's cool :P haha long live gamer babes :)
I can't see how not playing when she is over would be a problem, unless she is always over and smothering you and you have no time to yourself. I am married and the only problem I have is I can't play horror games when my daughter is awake, the bad dreams and sleepless nights would not be worth it. What to do when RE5 comes out.
My girl just finally left my house after being here for about 2 weeks... she stayed for xmas + new years... all this time I've been trying to play my real games(gears, GTA IV, and CoD4)... but she wants to play Castle Crashers or one of my co-op games... which I wasn't in the mood for... It's not a problem, but it was the holiday weekend and I was hoping to get some time in with my friends, now work is back and no time for me to break night...
as for dead space, I don't think my chick would wanna sit around watching me play that, we went to see Saw V and she couldn't even open her eyes... but she has beaten Resident Evil 4(but me being a die-hard RE fan knows it's not a real scary game)...
