I have literally dozens in my bookmarks that I plan on reading at some point, but I just keep adding more and more to the list.n33d2skateSame here. It's impossible to keep up with all the interesting releases while finishing the ones you've started and that's coming from a guy that reads every other night. You need Twilight level reading just to read all the incoming quality fics out there.
About time we had a thread for this. Maybe I'll post some kind of review for each one I read.
Anyway, just finished one tonight. I Wish I Might. Certainly not an "easy to swallow" read, it's about a dude with a post doctorate that falls for Twilight in the human world. It isn't a case where Twilight somehow ends up on earth and becomes human. The character is just mostly based on her (including her name) but still different, not like how Twilight would be seen in a children's show. As you can imagine they talked a lot about books. Impressively, the author mentions more than a handfull of literary pieces, stuff on astronomy, biology, chemistry, mythology and even library science. It's clear that the author is not remotely stupid. It didn't have a deep plot or wasn't a very fun read but it was a bit more original from what I was getting used to on fan fictions lately. With that story out of the way I think I want to take a break from mass effect and read a simpler story next time.
You know, I read fan fics occasionally, maybe once or twice a month. I have literally dozens in my bookmarks that I plan on reading at some point, but I just keep adding more and more to the list. I've seen all kinds, gratuitously violent, gratuitously sad, gratuitously sexual, gratuitously funny, gratuitously cute. And some that are just...strange. >.>n33d2skate
We have so much in common!Â

It's just so beautifulIKR? The writing is beyond anything I've ever seen. So descriptive and magnificent.Â
First time I read that I was like "eww" and stopped reading, but when I decided to read all the way through it wasn't too bad.The first fan fiction I ever read was cupcakes.
The worst part was it didn't affect me at all. I just kinda went "Oh, that was intresting". :P
Fundai
I've never been much of a reader, so that may contribute.
Shipping and Handling, it's a derpy/ditzy doo story with some predictable and unpredictable moments. I enjoyed it especially the pinkie pie part.
Not your regular fanfiction, but some of these Anon stories are pretty fun to read (even if most don't get finished...).
These ones all start off rather similarly, though they do branch off in some pretty interesting directions.
ToE (Tales of Equestria)
/v/irgin in Equestria - Chapter 1 (just click the author name to get to the index)
Night Lord in Equestria intro
DAiE (Doctor Anon in Equestria)
Anon in Equestria: Chapter 1 (slight Rainbow x Anon romance in story).
"Homegrown" is probably my favorite fanfic that I've read so far. I was hoping for a "kiss and then they get together" type ending, but the way it did end fit much better with the tone of the story.
Also, I read some fanfic about Twilight being in heat but not knowing what that was, and her friends are trying to decide how to inform her about it. I was like "This is some god-tier fiction right here."Â

Probably not the same one, but I just came across this one on fimfiction. Could be an entertaining read...
Estrus, I thought it was pretty funny, even if the conclusion was disappointing. Also, I read some fanfic about Twilight being in heat but not knowing what that was, and her friends are trying to decide how to inform her about it. I was like "This is some god-tier fiction right here."

There you go.
All my favorite fanfics that I've read have endings that left me wanting more. D:Â

I know, I've read so many shipping fics that end with the start of the relationship. That makes no sense![QUOTE="DrAwesomeMD"]Just read the fanfic "Post Nuptials".
I don't care what the show says, I'm treating it as canon.
Aux99
What's the story about?
It's about everypony's experience directly after defeating Queen Chrysalis and what's going through their minds.Â
[QUOTE="DrAwesomeMD"]"My Darling Sugarcube" is my new favorite fanfic.meetroid8*added to reading list* Which already has some 200+ unread fics. :P
Read it nao! >:0Â
In the entirely theoretical off chance that I wrote a shipping fic, would someone here be willing to proof read it? Hypothetically speaking. :Pmeetroid8
Whilst I'd never consider myself the first choice for proof reading (at least as far as general grammar goes...), I've been doing a fair bit of fic reading laely, so I'd be happy to give it a read and perhaps offer some critique.....however limited my experience may be.
Despite the massive quantity of them on fimfiction, I've never actually read a human/brony in Equestria story. The idea always seemed sort of silly to me.First Pony View (ongoing).
Pretty interesting read. I love the narrative of this story....very descriptive. It's interesting to think how I'd react under similar circumstances.

They're my favourite stories, to be honest :P (I have a very good imagination). But one thing I like in particular about First Pony View is that it approaches the story in a more realistic sort of manner, using the characters own fear and doubt towards the prospect of becoming a pony in a human world, to drive the story foward. I gets pretty heavy at times.....and the pony character is cute, haha.
But then there's some other stories like The Tale of Gaius "Ninefingers", where the protaganist is an ancient English knight, and uses Monty Python-like humour throughout the story. So there's some fun stories there that are just meant to be silly anyway :P

Shameless self promotion time.
I just logged onto EQD and saw my fic on there.
