So, I bought some DOA costumes from the Senran Kagura pack. It's.. the outfits tear. Not that this interests me. I'm looking for ways to extend the longevity of this game, but I did plough down about 15 dollars for this. That's 15 dollars for 5 costumes. Yeah..

And I think it's the first time I've bothered spending actual money on costumes. Just like that. There's been free stuff, sure, but that's it.

So, have you done this? Have you spend money on costumes for in-game characters? Mind you, the season pass for this game is like 90 bucks. **** me..

I bought the Marie Rose and Honoka Debut costume sets. I also got the Full Pack Data for Onechanbara, although that also includes a couple characters. Almost forgot I bought all the costume sets for Hyrule Warriors. There's some other costume sets for DOA 5 I'm very interested in.

I can't even unlock Christie and Lisa's Legendary Costumes.....

You know, before all this, I thought DOA as a tit simulator. Yeah, just nice chicks, mucking about. But having bought it, and spending time with it, it's a fun fighter. Why not. Sure, they dress it up as perv paradise, but there's a genuinely fun fighter behind all that.

Kind of funny they strip features from the PC release, but have no shame in selling $133 CAN worth of costumes for a $44 CAN game. Yet PC fans are the scum of the gaming world for wanting a full featured game and the ability to mod.

I've bought most of the Arcana sets for Dota 2 and do buy some of the chests from time to time. Also buy things off the Market that are cheap.

No. I grew up in an age where alternate costumes were unlockables.

Granted, I did buy the Komplete Edition of MK9 though, which includes the costume packs.

Yes. I bought the femme fatale pack on USF4. Well for that group I always ended up buying them. Mainly because I mained Chun Li and liked to experiment with C Viper before I realized I sucked at her cancel. I would have bought the E Honda pack but none of his outfits look good at all. I ended up buying the Summer Vacation pack for the SRK characters and villains though. I wanted to kick ass as Dan with a preppy sweater.

Apparently if you don't buy the complete pack which costs like $34 for like 16 costumes or you can buy each individually for $3. On Steam the game has two costume packs one costs $55 and the other $65 and apparently it's still missing a few DLC packs from consoles. So basically the complete DOA 5 experience costs around $200+.

Normally I'd just shrug and say pfffft whatever it's your money..... I mean there's so much else you can do with that $15 like umm.... maybe buy a whole new game? I mean you said the costumes would extend the longevity of the game but how so? Will it fundamentally change the way the game is played? Give you more moves?

Okay, so I went off on a tangent there for a bit. The reason why this bothers me is because it's people like you that mess it up for the rest of us. I don't know how many of you are out there but you keep sending $15 on costume and one day they'll bump it up to $20...$25... before you know it. Shit that used to be free we now pay ridiculous amount for.

I got the Hyrule Warriors season pass plus the pre-order costumes bonuses for it. So that counts I guess, but beyond that there is none unless it comes with dlc and I do not notice.

No, never got any small DLC's really and certainly no costumes. Just what were described as expansion packs back in the day and more recently single player content for Fallout 3/NV etc.

I think I purchased an alternate appearance pack for either Mass Effect 2 or 3. Didn't do it again after that.

Yeah, that's where I just can't get behind the price/value of such DLC.

Well, there's more costume there lol. They can get torn up. It's something new in this costume pack. I can guarantee you they will do more, because:

1. It's cool. Fits with the whole DOA thing now.
2. Twats like me bought it.

It'll always be profitable, there will always be enough people buying this. Even if it's a small group.

I guess so long as the base version of the game has enough costumes, I can deal with this kind of DLC. But of course what's stopping them from putting the best costumes behind a paywall :p
