Seriously? That's 25 cents! Required to pay to play online, ads plastered all over the dashboard, and the sales and rewards are pathatic. Xbox live is fueled by greed. The ps3 offers and optional pay service that actually gives free games and good sales..., Steam gives crazy sales for FREE

I think XBL it's self is a joke, I would like to see MS add more value to the service. Make it like PlayStation Plus or something similar, though some people do find value in XBL, why? I don't know, but they do.

Though that being said, I don't see how anyone can honestly justify the XBL fee, at least not anymore.

Its not a joke, its outright robbery. When compared to the "rewards" you get from PSN+

I don't mind if people buy it, they are free to do so and I have no right to tell them otherwise. If they personally find value in the service then that's all good, but I just don't understand why and I don't see how someone could honestly justify the XBL fee. I hear so many different things, in the end I don't think anyone really can.

Some people pay it because 360 is their only system, some do it because they are big Halo fans (you), others play it to stay connected with friends or they simply prefer the service. Each person has their own individual reason for paying the fee.

But when it comes to trying to justify it, I don't see how anyone honestly can.

nah, i knew the amount of people actually getting a console was low, put some ms points or a free xbla game would of been nice. I thought a new console was a bad choice as a gift anyway, seeing as the person chosen would already own the console.

There is no justifying paying for the service, but sadly it works for MS, and I doubt they'll be stopping anytime soon.
