Will you buy Xbox 2 if there wont be any exclusives for it ?

hell no buying an xbox one was one of the biggest mistakes of my life

they need to do so much to turn things around i bought my xbox one for scalebound and fable and im not seeing either one so im pissed off.

No. Exclusive is the main reason to own a consoles, no exclusive mean no buy for me.

But on second thought, it's really going to depend on what they deliver in terms of their first party games.

I have no doubt that whatever MS comes out with next will be a powerhouse and and an overall BETTER value than a PC in the same price range.

I prefer consoles and if MS can deliver a quality game selection of first and second party titles and I don't see any sneaky anti-consumer or industry destructive tactics I'll probably support their system even with their games on PC.

PC has literally no exclusives I care for and consoles have enough indie level bloatware for me not to care about the countless other forgettable basement developed games PC gamers create spreadsheet wars for.

IF MS release a new console and not a streaming box there will no doubt be a few exclusives for it, at the start at least. Weather they keep making them or not depends on how badly they are being outdone by the competition. Unlike Sony who work their socks off to bring content to their platform despite a poor start (PS3) I suspect MS would prefer to cut their losses and just give up while they wait for the next generation to do it all over again.

I'd say no I've been an xbox fan for a very long time but have regretted going xbox over Playstation cause of no games that really interest me, I loved the old gears and halos, not to mention the play anywhere crap annoys me. Was hoping Phil could do something but 5 years and not much tbh, I should have gone playstation

Since we saw how against PC gaming they were with X360 ( even if again and again they were giving hope they never did something aside very few xbox exclusives games found their way to PC ) that did great and how easily moved to PC gaming the moment X1 failed sales wise.

It's something not too many people speak on, but that is also a reason many people choose PS4 over xbox one at the start of this gen before any games had really been released.

Sony has a proven track record of fully supporting their consoles up to and beyond each console generation...MS on the other hand has cut first party support half way through EVERY console generation they've ever had.

Even though there also coming to PC, I still would rather play my games on a couch in front of my TV, I also have a misses who enjoys playing the sims. So while she does that I'm usually on the Xbox, I play all the mutiplats on it. And only use my Ps4 for exclusives. I pretty much only try games on PC and if I really enjoyed it or know if it's a new release buy it.

Without proper AAA big budget polished single player focused exclusives, it's a no.

For Multiplats I prefer the PC anyway.

PS4 got it right. It always depends on taste, but for me, there are at least 6 current reasons to own a PS4 and probably 4 more in the future.

@AzatiS: those games are good but not amazing, the thing is Microsoft have taken very little risks this gen, it's not a bad console it's just not as good as Playstation which I can see for a couple of years before that I found the xbox slightly better

Yes I would buy an Xbox 2 if there were no exclusives on it. I’m not interested on gaming on the PC these days and prefer consoles as my gaming platform. As long as the games that they were making still interest me and I liked the system that they made then sure I’d buy it.

If you have a PC it's a no-brainer. There's no need to buy their new console if you already have the means to play the games.

I plan on updating my gfx card for about $500-$600 when the new consoles are out. I already have an 1800X, so my system will easily be relevant through about halfway through next console gen. I always do my full PC builds around the halfway point to ensure my PC stomps console.

Without exclusives, I don't see the point in buying a plastic box nor paying for online for it.

Pretty sure it’s going to have exclusives. They just bought 5 really good studios. Scarlet is two years away. I think launch will be good with exclusives. Microsoft has a good long term plan now. I really wouldn’t be worried about the exclusives problem for next gen.

I would rather have an Xbox just because I prefer the system over any other. That being said, Microsoft needs to get something that somewhat resembles a competent first party lineup.

I'm not thinking going back to PC gaming anytime soon, so I'll probably buy it.

I'm really due for a new PC, so I'd probably go that route rather than have 2 boxes that do the same thing. I like the convenience of a console, but I can't justify owning two of them plus online charges for nearly the same game library. PlayStation pretty much makes me buy it with their exclusives. So I choose that box for my primary gaming needs.

If Nvidia/AMD produce some good successors to the 1060/70/80 series, and prices aren't ridiculous I may go PC.

I'm currently PS4 PRO only, as my PC still has a lol460GTX and a i5 2500k, so its overdue but no way am I paying the current GPU prices. I also got a 3440 x 1440 monitor so I can't really go midrange.

Not sure I am buying any dedicated console next go around. Passed few years showed me I can get by on my PC and a portable option. I have not plugged in my PS4 in over 2 years.

If I weren't going to consistently update my PC, then I definitely would. However, PC is my go-to platform now, so I won't need an Xbox.

Nobody who has a PC needs an Xbox One. Outside of that you should be asking this question closer to the launch of the Xbox 2 when it will be clear how they stand with exclusives and system sellers.

I personally don't believe they can afford another absolute catastrophe of a generation and honestly believe they need to fire Spencer immediately before he has any input whatsoever on their next gen plans but MS being MS they are always capable of completely fucking up even the surest of sure things so let's wait and see.

Hell no. Console/casual gamers only buy exclusives on consoles. Why do you think multiplatform games sells the best on PCs over consoles? Because people who game on consoles only play exclusives. Everyone knows this except MS.

Same here. I saw no dips between playing those two Gears game and I was using a GTX 1070 before I upgrade to 1080Ti. I gotta admit, it was very optimized.

Better hypothetical is which system would I buy if the libraries were exactly the same, for that, I would choose Xbox just because their system features are a lot better and generally they lead the way there.
