Poll Who won E3 2014? (POLL) (598 votes)
Who?
Nintendo was funniest and showed most new games we never seen before or knew.

@TheFlush: "Nintendo was a 2015 fest"
How is that any different than Sony and Microsoft?
At least the PS4 has something to look forward to in 2014, though I agree that it seems like a videogame drought at the moment for all platforms :D
Only smash bros will be released in 2014 and I don't care for smash bros.
What is Sony launching in 2014? Multiplats?
@FreedomFreeLife: It's time to give it up, I know you're struggling to come to terms with it but Sony took E3. Even 3 of Gamespot guys after the conference said it with the fourth calling it a draw. Try as you might but MS lost.
So, Microsoft lost because they showed most games, gameplay and trailers? They showed only games, games and games. Sony had 40 min talk about TV, sale, new camera and about future. Also Microsoft showed more exclusives than Sony. Clearly Sony lost.
Sony's rant on about TV and some Power show pretty much killed it for me. I started dozing off just like I did last year watching their E3. Amazing that Cow aren't complaining about this crap when all they did was bitch about TV, TV, TV at M$ XB1 reveal. 40mins of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ from Sony and they win? lmao!! I don't think so. They showed CGI trailer for Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne, their biggest games. Only megaton news was Grim Fandango. Many of M$ games are actually coming out in 2014. Sony didn't have much for 2014.
Nintendo took it far and away, and they ain't even done. games are still being announced, like Mario Party 10 and Star Fox.

Lol why are you putting multiplats in MS's list?
Anyway, the gaming media agrees that Sony won and so does this poll it seems.

Lol your number for Sony talking TV and stuff changes every time i see you and given you couldn't even put together a list of games following your own rules in the other thread then you're just not worth talking to. You just can't see things from both sides so what's the point? You were never going to see that Sony has won.
So answer me this, if Sony lost then why have none of the GS guys said MS won? The closest they got was a tie lol!
Which GS guys? Some said that Transformers is best movie of all time. You agree with that too?
Whichever were on the E3 panel covering the shows, i don't know their names since i only bother with Giantbomb for reviews.
We can argue all day if you want but we know neither of us is going to budge. It's just a shame for you that you can't see what's going on outside of this place.

Why you not asking why i putting multiplats in Nintendo and Sony list? Oh right... you ignoring it...
Gaming media agrees? Proof? Its you who is lying.
What I saw was a bunch of concepts, big talk, PC games and Nintendo games.
So quess what? Duh. Nintendo wins, with a fracking video, and I think they held more stuff back than the other two...
Nintendo won, but still not with a big margin imo.
Nintendo 7/10
Sony 6/10
MS 6/10
Outside Zelda that Nintendo direct sucked. A lot of those games looked like glorified indie titles. Yoshi's Yarn and that Squid Game aren't worth $60.
Lol true but compared with the rest, I thought it was (a bit) better. Why? They showed more exclusives than Sony or MS.

And I'm to tired to search for the rest, but IGN and a others said Sony won.
In other words: Lemmings am cry!

Yes multi plats (and drive club and littlebigplanet 3), but at least that's something to put into your console to play. The WiiU gets literally nothing, not even those multi plats. And I don't think MarioKart 8 alone will keep me interested until 2015 unfortunately.
With the trickle of news and tidbit allready, I think I must reverse my Initial thoughts of WHO did best this e3, Nintendo is is a handy lead now.
I find it funny how some few people dismiss Sony's conference for the 30 minutes of tv even though the conference was longer than the others and they showed cool stuff the rest of the time. I didn't think Sony winning E3 will be so upsetting for some.
Gonna have to say Nintendo out of the big 3, but gamers won E3

smash is coming this year.
Easily Sony.. they showed game after game after game it was game announcements one after the other:
9.5/1
Um, maybe if you ignore that 30 minutes of boring crap about sales numbers and streaming media that had even sony fanboys facepalming in the hype thread
considering they still announced all that even with 15-20 minutes (it was not 30) devoted to crap most of us don't care about, yeah you can ignore it. Doesn't make everything else they announced before and after go away.
I was just commenting that it wasn't game announcement after game announcement. Heck look at his list, it stops being game announcements
Sony>Nintendo>Ubisoft(Just because of Rainbow Six)>Microsoft>EA
All in my opinion of course. I thought they were all really good though.
Since MS showed the most games, had the most games, focused on games after games, they won this E3 gaming conference. Nintendo was the most looney and they seem to have the most fun. Sony had the most longest boring talking parts but talking about nothing and talking nothing about games.

Like I said in my previous post, it is, but I don't care for Smash bros.
Is this a joke thread. Microsoft easily.
I wouldn't say easily, but at least M$ showed more exclusive games that are releasing THIS YEAR. What does Sony have that's releasing this year? LBP3, Drive Club (which wasn't even shown), Infamous First Light (DLC) and a couple Indie games.
Easily Sony.. they showed game after game after game it was game announcements one after the other:
9.5/10
yup.
Sony easily
All around 7/10 tie for me. None of them were impressive and all showed more of games we already knew along side a couple of new games. None of the new games were amazing blow your head off though.

Yes but sadly most are here sony fanboys, so they vote for Sony even if Sony had 1 game to show. MS showed games, Nintendo showed less games, Sony only talked and showed TV..
Gonna have to say Nintendo out of the big 3, but gamers won E3
I think you win the thread. Gamers won this E3. But I think it is weird that so many are writing off MS completely and giving them a 6 when clearly MS has the smoother and more well put together conference of the 2.
Both showed Indies, both showed multi-plats, but only one didn't talk about TV and sales...from what happened last E3 you'd think people would be praising that fact. Not so much I guess.
Bottom line is Sony actually made me want to get a PS4, and/or maybe the PSTV...but I've got to learn a bit more about that. Both showed very well, but I think MS edged out Sony.
Nintendo is on a different level all together. Above / below...doesn't matter. Open-world Zelda for the win!
I find it funny how some few people dismiss Sony's conference for the 30 minutes of tv even though the conference was longer than the others and they showed cool stuff the rest of the time. I didn't think Sony winning E3 will be so upsetting for some.
Probably because they haven't won anything yet. The E3 isn't over. lol!! Don't be so butthurt.
Microsoft>Nintendo>Sony>Ubi>EA.
The general consensus pretty much everywhere is that Sony won but Nintendo was pretty cool too. I'm thinking about getting a WiiU.
Actually, Sony's E3 is getting bashed all over the place for terrible pacing.

Yeh the TV was slow and boring but it just filled the extra time that Sony had over MS' conference.
MS showed CGI for most of their games and for their biggest games too?
Which games are coming 2014? Horizon and Sunset Overdrive?
This is my point, you can't look at anything objectively because you exaggerate everything and are blatantly hypocritical on some points.

It's funny. I do see some journalist sites (like Forbes who know nothing about video games) saying Sony won, before Nintendo even showed their conference. lmao!! Then you see the comments in these articles and all the gamers are saying "NO, Sony didn't win. too funny."

@lostrib:
Yes, the PlayStation Now stuff wasn't too exciting for those of us who have the console/s of our choice already in our home.
However, whether you recognize it or not, PlayStation Now can be a game changer in the video game market. You soon will be able to play PlayStation games without being tied to a specific console. People who have PlayStation Now televisions in their homes will be able to rent a game or purchase a gaming subscription much like they do online video services (YouTube or Amazon Video, e.g.). In due time, I would expect PlayStation Now to land on other platforms like PC or Android.
Sony has to be careful they don't hurt their console sales by adopting this model. However, they don't make too much money off of consoles anyway. The main issue is that fidelity of streamed games simply won't be as good as the same game running locally on a client machine.
Mad Props for Nintendo giving out the Best Digital Press Event we have seen in years.
Sony did great with Little Big Planet 3 and Uncharted 4.
Microsoft only got my eye with Halo Collection and Sunset Overdrive.
EA showed little of Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge
Ubisoft really likes their Scripted stuff.
Sony had strongest exclusives, more surprises, better multiplat reveals, and has VR and PS Now arriving soon. No contest for me
After watching Microsoft's and Sony's conference along with Nintendo's digital, I have come to the conclusion that most of you are complete blind fanboys that feel like they benefit from something by claiming one is better than the other. I was going to let this E3 be my deciding factor on which console I get first and needless to say, not one conference helped make my decision easier. After watching Microsoft's conference, I thought, hey that wasn't too good, surely Sony will knock it out of the park and convince me, but nope. Their conference was actually worse than Microsoft's. I can't believe some of you honestly believe Sony had the best conference. It was a complete disaster from start to finish.
