Which game flopping would hurt the most for fanboys?

How about this for some drama - Super Smash Bros. flopping!

Short term:

1. PS4 - DriveClub. Cows have hyped this to no end and bashed FH2
2. XB1 - Sunset Overdrive. XB1/360 is already seen and the CODBox, this flopping would cement that
3. WiiU - Any inferior version of an already rare 3rd party game.

Long Term

1. PS4 - The Last Guardian, enough said
2. XB1 - Halo 5, 343 HAS to make a great game after Bungie flopping. Failing would bring SW to its knees
3. WiiU - Zelda, the console is already on its last legs. Zelda is a crutch. Failing would be like kicking the crutch from underneath the WiiU

I'd say The Order. It's gotten the most haype of any next gen game.

This if it ever releases. From that list though, Uncharted 4 by a mile then Halo.

It could literally be nothing but the six updated multiplayer maps and it would still murder almost all modern FPS games with their perks, call ins, sprint, upgrades, unlocks, etc etc

Wut? you realice Zelda WiiU could score a 5 here and still sell millions right? is not like getting a bad score on GS or flopping would mean anything on the real world.

Uncharted but I voted for Bloodborne.

And then there's any main Zelda games on the main consoles.

Zelda and Smash. The nintendo fanboy is highly delusional and cannot accept any legit criticism. They automatically give every nintendo game a 9+/10. Anything less from a gaming website is crazy and must be wrong. They truly believe nintendo is the best and no one else compares, despite the rest of the world pointing out that nintendo just makes N64 games with gamecube graphics in 1080p.

There has never been a flopped mainline Uncharted or Halo game. Either of those two. And Zelda, we've seen what a Zelda flop can do to people.

with ms hurting right now, they cant afford halo not delivering.

I see uncharted had the most poll votes on here, but uncharted isnt as big a seller as halo and uncharted has scored before a 9. Sony shows that scores dont hurt their fanboys....e last of us was mcshead, gran turismo's not outscoring forza, god of war ascension was a let down etc....

That and Bloodborne. If these games don't get a 9 or better, cows will be hiding under a rock for the next 2 months.

Halo 5. Lemmings can deny it all they want, but the series is literally the only reason for the Xbone to exist. If that went to shit, what else is there?

UC4 flopping would be bad but cows have the strength of the rest of SCE's studios to fall back on.

Personally, if MGS5 sucked I would cry bitch tears for days.

UC4. They already had a meltdown over Destiny because they convinced themselves that it was the best version even though it scored lower than the XBox One version on metacritic.

Metacritic is a fantastic way to tell if someone doesn't know how averages work.

I think it would be Zelda or Halo. Uncharted would be bad, but i don't think it's as big as the two others.

I'll be shocked if this ever sees the light of day. And that's not being snarky: I loved SOTC. Its just been in development hell for so long, and now we've jumped generations. Just really, really iffy.

Yep which is why I think it would be the biggest flop. It's been in development forever and it built up sooo much hype so if it flops, it will be the Sony meltdown of gaming.

@TheEroica: No way. Sunset Overdrive. Uncharted 4 isn't nearly as hyped as Sunset. Uncharted only really gets talked about in graphics threads. Sunset is all the Lemmings talk about(just like Titanfall). That or Quantam Break.

If uncharted flops it will still be a hit.

Gotta go with Uncharted 4, the way people talk about Naughty Dog nowadays.

I mean... they're not even as good as they used to be. Platformers > movie-game hybrids.

I personally wouldn't mind if all those games flopped for the lulz and it would make SWs a lot more entertaining.

But anyways UC4, Bloodborne and Zelda would hurt the most for fanboys and maybe Smash Wii U.

@clone01: Final Fantasy Versus 13 was in development hell for just as long and the latest trailer to release absolutely blew everyone away. Although that is different since FF15 isn't mentioned in damn near every game related thread on the Internet.

I think delaying TLG and starting fresh on this gen will probably prove to have been a great idea. The big problem is they announced when they really shouldn't have. Like Kingdom Hearts 3. Nomura said he was pissed they announced it as they weren't even close to ready to show it off. Seems to be a trend in gaming now.

I'm actually going to go with Bloodborne for the simple reason that the PS4 really needs something to add to its library and so many people bought the console. I think we all know the Order 1886 will be a flop, but for the next "big" game to flop for PS4 would be rather devastating for the many who've committed to the system already.

Zelda WiiU, that would definitely bring another meltdown.

Halo 5? Xboners are pretty used to disappointing games already tho. Bloodborne actually doesn't have as much hype around it as some think so I'd default with a generic answer of uncharted 4 for it's widespread appeal.

Uncharted 4 for Cows and Halo 5 for lems.

Star Citizen would crippled hermits.... one of the rare blockbuster level games and completely funded by us.

To be fair, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and Scalebound have respectable devs at their helms, so I wouldn't say that.

Wasn't Zelda SS voted the biggest flop in the Sw's last gen? Either way a major, historic.. franchise already flopped on a Nintendo platform so another flopping wouldn't be as impactful.

If Halo 5 flops, lemmings will blame the devs (383 studios) so it's not cut and dry with that one.

I vote Uncharted 4. It hasn't quite reached series fatigue just yet.. and it's always scored AAA.

People flip shit everytime a Zelda game scores lower than expected (both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are testaments to this.) Cows in general have hyped Naughty Dog as the second coming (like literally, "Naughty God").
