I only use mics to talk in multiplayer. I never felt the need to buy a headset to listen to my game in private.

Using headphones can be helpful in certain games for listening for audio cues like footsteps

yeah I know, it is really immersive and probably would be great for alot of games BUT.... i dont want to spend $100+ on something that Im not gonna use that much since Im not gaming as much as I use to...

But I did want to get this (but i dont think it has a mic to talk into tho... idk) :

I use the ps4 gold wireless headset. It's not excellent but it's serviceable.

I use a few... Sennheiser PC 350 on the PC when playing online games, its very easy to pick up players position, and footsteps with these. And any single player game I'll use my Sennheiser HD 595. And my consoles I use my turtle beach tango, which get the job done for the most part, also they are wireless which is nice.

Im looking for a new headset at moment. Can anyone recommend one which covers...

* Works on PS4 and PC

* Has excellent Noise Cancelation. Want to block out as much external noise as possible

*Wireless

Main use will be for Oculus Rift, want to block external noise to help with immersion. Also id use it alot on PS4 when destiny/TLOUR comes out.

I feel like it's not worth spending that much money on just headsets so I just buy a cheap one from a third party.

None. I don't talk to anyone online. I got tired of listening to people complain about this and that. If they're competent players, they can coordinate in silence. The music, sound effects, and etc all sound fine through my speakers.
