What is the biggest flop of this gen so far?

The Order 1886, hyped to the heavens to only get a measely 5 and exclusively on the PS4. The home of interactive movies. lol

Most ppl thought it was an add on for the Wii. I even thought that for a while. No 3rd party support or at least not nearly enough to warrant a purchase.

GAME WISE:

Destiny.

Not in terms of fun or gameplay....but in terms of the chance they had to create something long lasting and full of content.....and they just didn't do that.

Fun to play.....void of content.

I think I'll agree with this.. I was really looking forward to the game. Turned out it was a boring game wih bad practices. Glad I got to try it before I bought it.. Go back to making Left 4 Dead, please.

Wut? When was The Order 1886 hyped? Everyone knew it was going to be garbage the moment they showed gameplay. It got lots of bad previews as well.

Anyway I would say that the biggest flop of this gen so far is Destiny.

For me personally it was Watchdogs. Played it for a bit and it just didn't hold my interest at all.

Valve owns Left 4 Dead. Turtle Rock is not working under them, things are different now that's what happened with Evolve.

I would definitely have to say the Wii U is the biggest flop as a whole. After the success of the Wii (even though I hated it and never bought one), Nintendo really hasn't brought anything worthwhile to the table. Last gen hardware with the same old games and no heavy hitters like core Mario, Zelda games or equivalent new IP. They failed to excite consumers.

In terms of games... Destiny. That game had a lot of potential to do something great. The foundation was weak and the franchise is probably fucked for the remainder of the generation. Dumb people will still support it though and will continue to believe the hype.

Destiny-bungie used to be one of the greatest fps developers in the industry until they released a game in early access, charged full price and then charged $20 for patches

MCC-343 basically took a massive shit on everyone's memories of one of the greatest fps franchise of all time

The Order 1886. Was hyped to death after its initial reveal and yet it was under hyped to prevent it from being a flop, but it still flopped. when it was revealed that the game is only 4-5 hours long and has a lot of lengthy cutscenes as well, some people were trying to justify it by posting comments like "When I heard this game is only 4 hours long, it made me extremely happy because I'm a man with kids who doesn't have enough time bla bla bla". Lol, it was glorious.

Watchdogs, that e3 demo compared to what go released.

Also the game turned out to be another typical Ubisoft game.

Halo: MCC. For a lot of the flops mentioned, the hype died down near release. MCC hype was proper hype, but that also means it flopped the hardest.

Destiny, no other game comes close to the massive hype and followed disappointment of one of the most anticipated games in years.

I guess Watch_Dogs is probably worse, but besides that first trailer, everything else shown about that game did not look good. The people buying into Watch_Dogs only got caught into the hype. No one expected Destiny to be so terrible.

MCC (6 on GS) scored better than The Corridor 1886 (5 on GS). lol, at least try to hide your bias cows.

Destiny. I was super excited for the game, i was extremely hyped as were all my buddies. Now i would rather cut my own foot off and salt the wound before ever playing that piece of garbage. 40 hours wasted, thankfully it came with my ps4 so i didnt feel bad selling it.

1886 didn't have NEARLY the hype that MCC did, not by a long shot. Doesn't mean it's a bad game, because it's since been mostly fixed and I enjoy it thoroughly these days. A real gem that fell on its face upon release.

Terrible game, sheer drudgery. I tried twice to give it a good shot and it just bored me to death.

Halo MCC didn't flop for anyone who bought it for the campaigns.

The Order was hyped to hell and back and pretty much hailed as the game to put PS4 on the map in terms of big exclusives. We all know how well that went, the chumps.

Disaster Chief Collection. Hyped beyond belief because of the Xbone's sparse 2014 lineup then fell flat on its face with multiple bugs in the SP and MP including almost nonfunctioning matchmaking at launch. Shameful.

I think it's safe to say this entire generation has been terribly disappointing.
