Watch_Dogs aka the biggest downgrade of this gen

I have not been following this game, but wow that is a largely noticeable difference. It is almost hard to believe. I probably won't play this game for a year or so, if ever, but if I was a console gamer, then I would feel somewhat misrepresented.

Damage has been controlled, and poorly.

The the scale of this game better be immense and on the same level as GTA. Im not a graphics whore, but thats a massive gigantic downgrade from what was shown at E3.

So they talked 5 minutes about the wind, and just how immersive it is. Amazing.

Releasing Watch_Dogs on the ps2 isn't normal, but on meth it is.

Some people in this thread seem to misinterpret it as complaining about graphics. But it's not about the graphics, it's about the massive downgrade and the fact that Ubisoft overhyped them (again...)

I'm sure the world in Watch_dogs will be a lot smaller than the one in GTA V. But they keep hyping it up as being a more believable world and one that feels more alive. We'll have to see how that turns out.

What the **** are you talking about, or did you forget that Infamous Second Son also exists on PS4, an exclusive I might add and it kills your arument.

"PS4 not being able to handle the graphics" is a joke, and you should slap yourself for forming up your lips to say something like that.

No, don't blame the PS4 for the developers failure to produce what they promised, if the developers did decided to downgrade, it isn't because the PS4 was too weak to handle the graphics. With open wold games like Infamous SS existing you can pretty much hang up that argument now. If someone tries to make to suggest the PS4 was/is not able to handle Watch dog graphics they fail.

Yeah this is the new footage released to the press. It looks pretty decent and a lot better than some other shots floating around.

But it still looks nothing like that first initial E3 demo

Watch Dogs seems like the first victim of a developer keeping one foot in two ponds for too long.

Or they drastically chose to misrepresent their product for almost two years.

Fingers crossed the PC version excels - the game's premise is intriguing and it'd be unfortunate to see the potential go to waste.

Waiting for the downgrade in "The Division". I don't give a shit for Watch Dogs, but this one, I bet, will be hit hard by the Hammer of Down.

There has been lots of bogus downgrade topics , most of which are BS. I love the Uncharted ones that compare two different cut-scenes one per-rendered vs one in-game. Those are great because then you know the people that haven't played the game. The Infamous SS one was great also where you had people taking YouTube screen grabs and trying to compare them to uncompressed screenshots. But this looks like this could actually be a Downgrade. I will wait till we see more footage though. This isn't uncommon for Ubisoft as they did the same thing with Far Cry 3 when they downgraded all versions including the PC.
