I think Halo 4 had the best campaign since Halo CE. Multiplayer, which I have personally played almost none of, apparently had some early issues but they have ironed a lot of them out.

Given that it was their FIRST game, I think 343 did a marvelous job stepping into the insanely big shoes of Bungie. I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised with Halo 5.

More on topic:

1. Sports games suck. Like...practically every one I have ever played hasn't been able to hold my attention for more than 10 minutes besides FIFA 98' on the original Playstation. I just don't care to do something in a game that I can very easily do in real life as well.

2. "Kiddy" Nintendo games have better gameplay than 95% of "mature, adult" games.

3. Oh, and my personal biggest gripe right now...this retarded opinion that somehow "open-world" games are automatically better than "linear" games. Seriously...just read any hype thread about a new game. 90% of the idiots trying to deride the game will say something like, "Lolz, lookz teh linear", as if that somehow makes it worse by default. Whoever started this trend needs to be shot, repeatedly, but NOT in the head, so their death is slow and arduous.

NFS Hot Pursuit is awesome and better than the underground games and closer to a true NFS game.

Xenoblade while still being good is not some savor or god like jrpg.

FF13 has one of top battle systems in the series.

GTA 5 is the worst gta in years

The Witcher 2 is not a very good game, much less a ver good rpg

The WiiU is a great console

Gears of war is a better tps than Uncharted, on a mechanic level

PC has zero exclusives coming that are worth getting

Xbone is a great console

RE4 is not a good re game

DMC Remake was excellent and the new dante is better than the old

EA is one of the best publishers there is

Gamespot is just a giant, never-ending elaborate ploy designed to troll gamers and garner hits.

Fable was the best M$ exclusive series before it was killed via fable the journey.

Wii U > Ps4 and Xbox 1.

All of the God of War games are pretty bad. A big action game with shallow combat is near worthless for me. (and just because it might be said, I don't consider Musou games to be in the same area as god of war or any other games like it. I play them for different reasons)

Platinum Games is one of the best developers last generation.

Vanquish is the best third person shooter last gen (get yo max payne 3 out of here)

Ninja Theory is awful and Tameem is kind of a douche.

Uncharted 3 is pretty meh.

DMC4 is actually pretty damn good despite it being half of a game.

IO think that is popular opinion around here. At the very least, not as good as 2.

I agree with a lot of that. Halo 3 was a letdown after 2. Reach should come tomorrow, so I will see how that is. Mafia 2 is one of the best games, the issue is that after playing the 1st, it was just not quite there. I did love the game though. CS is a pretty meh game. Garbage community to boot. TWD is amazing. The only one I can't agree on is UC2 being bad. You really think it's bad? lol.

Yes, I know it sounds weird... I had much more fun with the first one and the third one. The multiplayer was bad. The story was mediocre, and it was just too linear for me. But yeah... it's an unpopular opinion.

Despite how good and popular the Steam service is on PC's, the Steamboxes will be pointless and will fail due to the only people that would be interested in them would be the ones already using Steam on their PCs

Microsoft's 1st party lineup for 2014 is strong. Good mix of established series and new IPs.

Nintendo going third party isn't all doom and gloom, as they will still have loyal fans, and i doubt they're all too willing to screw them out of an awesome fan-made remake of a popular game.

Also, regarding Megaman's appearance in the new Smash Bros, Nintendo should pay Sound Holic to include a few of their songs into the game.

I thought the Gears vs Uncharted thing was pretty agreed on. As a TPS even if I think Gears is almost everything wrong with games, the mechanics are just so solid.

DMC remake, well, I liked the new one more than most. New Dante being better than old Dante though? Eh, the juries still out on that (though Dante in DMC4 was terrible. The entire dialogue of DMC4 was terrible)

Xenoblade is defnitely overrated (my opinion, merely building off yours)

13 is underrated, and does have an awesome battle system.

Lollipop Chainsaw is just fun.

Tomb Raider (2013) > Uncharted Trilogy (though TR had one too many set pieces).

Didn't find UC2 all that jaw-dropping.
