I only played one Tony Hawk game, Project 8, but I remember it being a lot of fun. I think I'll just cross my fingers that ends up on the XBO-360 BC list.

I remember how addictive this series used to be way back in the day.

And it had quite a bit of depth too learning all the moves and potential combos.

I think they'll have a hard time messing up more than with the previous THPS games. So I'm optimistic

THPS 2 and the Underground games were the most fun.

But if you want something comparable there was SSX last gen and SKATE was pretty good I heard. But this gen I can't really think of a sports game like that where you have to perform tricks.

No. It's only coming to the crappy consoles. I really miss these kind of games, though.

Played their THPS HD game. Wasn't bad but didn't feel like a real THPS.

Honestly was never really a fan. Played a little here and there but couldn't get lost in it like some people I knew.

Can OPs with esoteric acronyms at least have a fucking picture of the game they are talking about? I had to go halfway down the thread to figure out what the blue blazing platinum eff you were talking about.

Unfortunately there's nothing but negative feedback so far.

It's supposedly a glitch filled mess and looks like a last gen game.

Had such high hopes for this game, but any time they refuse to release to critics before release its bad news, and the word coming out now isn't good.

Downhill in a very small way. The three Tony Hawk games after THSP4 were still great games.

Have yet to encounter a single glitch. Graphics are colourful and vibrant, very fitting and not crap like many suggest. Classic Tony Hawk gameplay here.

Game is out today with zero reviews.

It's unfortunate that it shares a name with some of the best skateboarding games of all time.

I was hoping for a return of the classic, doesn't look like this is it.

Is it true that the physical release has no content on the disc and requires a 7gb "patch"?..

Apparantly the campaign is completely missing from the disc version!

THPS 5 is slow-motion car crash into hot garbage. The reviews for this game are going to be the best thing ever.

@R4gn4r0k: Face it? I own the game you goon lol. It's nothing more than an old Tony Hawk game with a new paint job and slightly different set up. If you were expecting anything more that's your problem. Fun to be had here. I'm not by any means saying this game is the best and most amazing thing, it could certainly be better. It certainly doesn't deserve all the hate it's been getting.

I really want THPS5 to be amazing. The first 3 games for THPS we perfect and a blast to play. They played more like a platformer and you didn't really need to be into skateboarding to play, searching for letters n secrets, maxing out combos and just fucking around with ur friends, THPS Is complete nostalgia for me and I want to go out an buy this but it's pull isn't that strong lol. I would love to see a return to the old THPS formula that made it so great and even the BMX rips off series of Dave Mirra was fun to play lol

@xxyetixx: Dave Mirras BMX was amazing. I've always hoped a new one of those would come out or another Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX.

Pro skater, Pro bmx, Pro surfer and Pro snowboarder...

As much as the skater and bmx games where fun, my god, i'm glad they died.
