Don't know if it needs that high. According to Techpower up the average power consumption is 157W for the HD 6970:

Shouldn't you be looking at max power consumption instead of average?

See, the thing about 360 and PS3 is they actually start out with graphics and have what we call, "updates." This revolutionary idea gives us the best technology by the developers themelves so when we buy a lamborghini, it is actually a transformer in disguise, always changing! :D

Well I do believe Techpowerup measured using "gaming" values. So I would say it's accurate. Unless you run Furmark or something.
