The redefining FPS, TITANFALL, completely absent from E3?

Did the gaming sites miss the booth for this game? Did EA mention anything at their Press Conference yesterday?

The game is exactly 3 months into retail (as of tomorrow 6/11/14) and not even a peep about it? Any new DLC? Expansion packs? Maps? New Titans? ANYTHING?

Last year, the gaming sites and reviewers were throwing every award they could find for it at E3.

What happened? Short attention spans?

Or the most overrated and overhyped game of all time?

Huh? The game's hype phase is over. This is normal for every game. They apparently had some new stuff to show, but it's an "old" game. What where you expecting?

Seriously - I don't know. I just can't believe this game is 3 months old and it's like invisible.

It got heaped upon with so much praise last E3 and with all the gaming site reviews... but it's completely gone.

I don't see whats so bad about this. The game just came out... a DLC pack was just released. No way they will announce a new Titanfall already. (I'm sure thats not what you meant) And I don't see why they would announce another DLC at E3. I definitely don't see that as a negative sign of Titanfall. I just see it as, nothing to announce at the moment.

Except it still has a large playerbase and still at the top of the sales chart. How many games stay in the top 2 in sales for 2+ months straight like titanfall did? Not many.

This. They are still tweaking the game, and Phil Spencer or someone stated they were waiting for the Xbox One June update before using the console resolution. New modes and a ton more DLC are coming. TF has a new commercial airing in the states so it hasn't gone anywhere.

Well they game already released and they announced the DLC a while ago. So idk what else there is really to tell unless Titanfall 2 starts showing up

Because at E3, companies totally talk about games that are already out.

If you want news about Titanfall, you should follow them. Titanfall.com is one way, and yes they do have new stuff at E3.

With Sony's E3 snooze fest I wouldn't have mind if they announced Titanfall 2 and it would have been a megaton even though people knew it is already hinted TF2 will be on more systems. Anyway Respawn already put in the hard work at previous E3s in a row, it's time to kick back and enjoy this year show and see what's out there. I mean where was Watch_Dogs? See you get the picture I hope.

I don't think this game did as good as many are trying to claim it did.

Titanfall just came out a few months ago so it's too old to be showing it off anymore and it hasn't been long enough for a sequel to seriously been underway. What exactly were you expecting?

Titanfall died really, really quickly. Thought it was supposed to be the new COD/Halo?

Don't know, I don't think the games short comings have a lot to do with the slow X1 start though. The publisher still has the PC and X360 userbase, so I think slow X1 sales would be an excuse.

yep they either want it and If they can't have it are very afraid of it.

The DLC we were all expecting plus at least a few words from either EA or MS saying how it's doing. It's in their interest to keep the game in the public eye as they try to build the IP but it seems to have fallen off the Earth.

Personally i have a feeling it's missed it's expected targets.

I just think it's funny. Infamous got a new DLC spotlight at E3 and Titanfall fell off the face of the earth. Drop a hype on it.

We should be glad they didn't announce a sequel.

DLC JUST came out. So you wanted them to waste everyone's time E3 talking about sales instead of just hammering out game after game like they did?

Titanfall is playable at E3. There has just been news about the June update.

So I guess we can just chalk this thread down to another fanboy whos still butthurt over a multiplat. Seriously.

FYI yesterday they announced a live action series, 2 new game modes, titan burn cards and customization and some other stuff coming for free to titanfall at the end of the month.

Why do they have to bring it up? It was at last year's E3. Plus, Microsoft was just focusing on upcoming games.

Titanfall was sadly all fake media buzz. The world has moved on.

Weren't the lems saying for months and months that this was going to be the system seller for the Xbone? That it was going to be Halo on steroids and redefine the FPS genre?

Now just 3 months after release, it's already faded into obscurity.

Lems talked for months about how the PS4 had no games and how Titanfall would smash anything that Sony had to offer.

Titanfall has been a pretty big disappointment considering all of the hype surrounding it.

So now the PS4 will have Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, The Order, Dark Sorcerer, The Last Guardian, Deep Down, etc.

But hey, at least the Xbone has Titanfall and will soon have yet another run of the mill Halo installment. LOL

I guess Microsoft has never even heard of the word "variety" and will just continue to push out these linear, repetitive first person shooters.

TF wasn't a disappointment at all.....for a new IP it's selling great, received great reviews and it did help move consoles in March and is still being enjoyed and still selling well.

Reviewers hype was met. Reviewers review a game and stop playing as soon as the review is complete. Don't ask why no1 gives a flying F when the only ones hyping it was EA and review sites.

Titanfall is a flop because even at best estimate it has sold barely 1million copies in 3 months (only ~200k of them on the PC, lol at least most of us weren't dumb enough to buy it), and a 40-50% price cut on the PC version less than a month ofter launch. And I say estimate on the sales numbers because EA has flat out refused to share any sales data. That alone shows you that it massively underperformed in their eyes. What should you expect, EA called down an orbital strike of positive spin in the months prior to launch, that was bought and paid for by EA marketing money and the gaming press clubbing each other like baby seals in their effort to siphon up the marketing money. Then everyone was bored with the game in 3 weeks, a month tops after launch. Hence the cutting of game modes and even worse performance on their already abysmal matchmaking system. It was mediocre at best to begin with, how they can justify a sequel is beyond me.

This isn't an XBone vs PS4 thing, I'm a PC gamer and I'll flat out tell you Titanfall is crap. I had this predicted six months before launch when the game play videos and info on play counts and bots started making the rounds.

Even though Titanfall was announced at Sony's conference it is still a great game on The One.

That's what happens when you overhype a mediocre and shallow game by dumping money on advertisement. It can lure some naive consumers but it will be quickly forgotten.
