Is so sad to see all these ps4 users wanting graphics kings, yet ps4 is a low end hardware.
@clyde46
They tend to look better than the competitions.
To be honest, that never happened! Xbox1 exclusives and multiplats looked better than anything on PS2, and last gen, PS3 and 360 were at about the same level. PS4 does have a chance to have the best looking console games by a good margin, though, since it factually more powerful than the competition.

btw it took me seconds to google a Skyrim picture and edit it.

Not sure what you're getting at, still doesn't look as good as the Order :/
Sony drones logic : Its best looking game evaa because it is from Sony .
This game is not even real HD . This doesn't qualify , lol . Let alone other stuff like blurry textures , linear as hell , boring ass gameplay , etc etc etc . Pick any random upcoming AAA PC and it blows it out of the water , there is not even comparison .
Anything beyond 720p is HD ..
And the game is not 1080p because it uses 4XMSAA,but the game isn't upscale, if they were using a 7870 or lower GPU they would probably have to do the same thing on PC as well, the PS4 works more less like its PC counter part,so anything below it will run the game even worse.
Which sadly is the majority of PC gamers out there.
I didn't see blurry textures on that game the games look incredible any one who downplay this game graphically is a moron, the game look incredible, and The Order look quite better than several games coming to PC.
G puking I already told you to get ready for massive disappointment. Those cut scenes are a far cry from the downgraded, brown scale gameplay.
Put the acid down.
In game and cut scenes use the same assets in THe Order you butthurt troll, unlike Ryse which use CG and not in game assets for cut scenes something DF complains about.

The order does good and looks good in what it is trying to achieve, as set by the developers.
It's not exactly an open world game on max settings like skyrim or the witcher 3 with lots going on.
No doubt the order is the best upcoming looking game for consoles that give PC games a good contest.
And that is a good thing.

1920x800, ie,not 1080P.
It's 800p,since it has 800 vertical lines

'The Order may have a display ratio of 1920x800, but keeps the same pixel density as a 1920x1080 resolution.'
'When you watch a 1080p movie, nine out of ten times the movie is in widescreen. Which is the cinematic aspect ratio we talked about before. 2.40:1. The Order will be displaying the same as any 1080p widescreen Blu-Ray movie would.'
When it comes to visual spectacle alone i.e. how it looks at 1st sight, yes, it is the most impressive game I've seen thus far
saying this, I'm sure that technically there are better games out there having in mind The Order will probably be linear (not that I've a problem with that) and the resolution and framerate will probably suffer
Its the same principle as Ryse, i.e. visually is very impressive but the linearity/Resolution/framerate made it look impressive when technically Killzone SF was the more demanding launch exclusive of the two
@Vatusus
The resolution in The Order is 1920 x 800 which is 1:1 pixel mapping to your full hd 1080p TV so it wont have the upscale blur effect that's so evident in Ryse. You would still be looking at a very sharp image no less.
As for KZSF, not only it's more technically demanding than Ryse, it also blatantly looks better too, but neither holds a candle to The Order in how CGI it looks.

Funny how you missed the important part. Rendering black lines ftw
The game renders an image of 1920x1080, just 280 horizontal lines are black.
They do look damn nice. Shame it's limited to less than 1080p and only 30fps on the PS4. They are pushing that hardware to the limit with rendering those graphics.
I see a ton of ignorance here. Good graphics are good no matter what platform they are on. I don't agree with saying they are the best graphics out there, but they come together very well and the game is a very fantastic looking title. To deny that is to be completely ignorant just for the sake of some ridiculous console war.

Nothing changes here.
People also has to understand it's 1920 x 800 PLUS 4xmsaa! That's a lot more bandwidth demanding than your typical 1920 x 1080 with post AA. Ready at Dawn said themselves they could go back to 1080p any time they wanted but you loose the pristine clean 4xmsaa. So yeah, don't even start to think The Order is gimping on the iq.

4xMSAA and they still have to add grain? Lawl.

The grain is a cinematic choice. It's not hiding shit, if anything it downgrades the overall visual quality. Everything about the graphics is just a pure artistic choice. It's supposed to be a industrial revolution London with a major amount of political strife and mythical creatures attacking. It's not supposed to be bright and colorful.
They are also insisting on that stupid aspect ratio. They don't need 4xmsaa with 1080p. There are very good, cheaper AA that work just as well at 1080p that they could use. They could easily go to full 1080p if they wanted too but they would have to drop that msaa.
I disagree with that choice but it's not my game.
Ok just to be clear here I think the game looks amazing. But if the game is not 1920x1080 then it is not 1080p. It may have the same native pixel density but the game does not have to render as many vertical pixels. It's really not that big of a deal guys.
@MonsieurX: even your beloved gamespot say it's 1080p with black bars
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/ps4-exclusive-the-order-1886-won-t-have-multiplayer-will-run-at-1080p-30fps/1100-6417564/
also tell me why
900p has 1.296,000 pixels
and
800p 1.536,000 pixels
Saying it's running at 1080p with black bars is stupid. The game is rendering black bars, woah!!!
It's 800p of content on screen and it's not related to the total of pixels?
I agree Wasdie, precious gpu bandwidth could be used else where than brute forcing the MSAA. But now I hope people can realize The Order is actually doing more on the iq side contrary to popular belief and the grain filter is no more than a cinematic choice, just like the feature in Mass Effect 1 where you can turn it on and off. If it's using some doggy sharpening or darkening tool like what it does on Xbone then it would be justifiable of cheapening out.
These devs need to ditch the 4xMSAA.
They could then render the game at 1080p with no black bars and use the post AA that Infamous SS is using.
Personally I'm fine with the black bars since it looked just fine in Beyond or most Blu-ray movies. You will always get that 1:1 pixel mapping to your 1080p set so pixel density will not be compromised at all. At this point it's purely an artistic choice, not a technical deficiency.
I just logged in after all those years to post this and pwn this annoying sony fanboy who has the nerve to call himself "gpu king" when its proven that ps4 gpu cant take as many draw calls as a decent pc gpu.
So you got a scripted cover based shooter with QTEs taking place in small corridors, everyone who has played the game has said that it runs bad, it has obvious disperancies on it's graphics and you think that the game wont be downgraded and in the end it will look like the cutscenes during gameplay?
Well no it wotn and the only way ps4 is achieving this is with scripted as hell gameplay, black bars, film grains and tight corridors.
Finally just because its a sony game it DOESNT MEAN that there wont be other games outhere that will also have amazing graphics and will be MULTIPLATFORM and will look better on pc.
Also graphics dont make a game good
better yet this is open world
good things I have a 1440p monitor and will be playing it in actual HD lol
needs film grains
we're at a point in gaming where they, as a whole look great. Ive been gaming since pong, and the 'best' looking just doesn't matter to me anymore.
@dakan45: You guys really notice all these thing while playing a game?
For the original post, I thought console gamers doesn't care about graphics? Sony fanboys are the most hypocritical bunch in the gaming world.
@lglz1337:
Yeah the game isnt released yet so how about we dont drool over footage that could very well be downgraded at release? Or better yet the game coming out and end up sucking in gameplay just like shadowfail.
I dont like TLOU its too story focused, it has clunky shooting mechanics, the ai is horrible and i am not interested in this apocalypse theme, i prefer sci fi and GAMEPLAY over graphics.
I still play doom and oldschool shooters, you can bet i am not playing them for their graphics and story but GAMEPLAY
So yeah for ME titanfall>TLOU>Bioshock infinite.
Wolfenstein the new order is suposelly a oldschool shooter, yet they keep showing off story in the trailers, WHO CARES about story in a game like this? What they gonna do have epic plotwists about hitler being alive? The voice actor will get oscars for playing Deathshead? Or they gonna give awards for the cinematography of the ww2 robodogs? Nuff said.
Also no TLOU graphics suck, needless to say most multiplats beat it on pc with its blurry textures and missing shadows and static lighting but uncharted 3, killzone 3 and god of war ascension have better graphics. Also TLOU got awards for its horrible animations. REALLY? for animations did any of those idiots play tomb raider or gta v? Those animations are far superior, so thats what i think about those useless awards, it doesnt take a genious to figure out that system shock 2 and bioshock are better by far than bioshock infinite despite the ratings and awards.
gameplay> story > graphics because we are playing GAMES not movies.
@gamerno66666 Well you do on pc since you play close to the screen and yeah i agree.
X360 has triggers, x360 sucks, ps4 has triggers ps4 is awesome.
Games didnt look as good on ps3 intially its all about exlusives and gameplay, now its all about graphics
psn was free xbl wasnt, now psn is free so they damage control and try to make it as if sony has puked maging unicorn dustfairy over psn by making you pay for it.
They say pc indie exlusives suck, now that they are on ps4 everyone is playing them.
Sony fanboys are the definition of hypocricy.
