Different reviewers and different genres. Football simulators don't have much competition.

We don't have one down there....because we don't take reviews so seriously. Or at least we don't make a game out of owning people from it...

lol does it rly matter? haven't played it yet but telling from the majority of reviews the game's more than likely amazing (which is a given for a prime game). and besides...didn't anyone else see the low score coming from gamespot? i mean...toooootal suprise there guys :roll:. honestly...i know it didn't get a BAD review from GS, but its really pretty rediculous when you look at the other reviews, then compare it to what GS says. all logic says this game should have at least scored a 9.0 here at GS. i know it's just opinion...just seems like all GS's opinions on wii games are a lot different than other sites and magazines. wuts up with that?

The Bad

• Some of the contextual actions don't control all that well
• Streamlined controls make things a little too easy and a little less adventurous
• Doesn't do much different than the previous two Metroid Prime games.

Twilight Princess, MP Hunters, Super Smash Bros., Supreme Commander, GTA Vice City Stories, Resistance, Enchanted Arms, Motorstorm... I could go on a lot longer. The point is, people should have learned by now not to hype games on System Wars.

I think we have reached the point in which GS standards are way over what mainstream gamers expect i mean come on... people are looking for quality titles and to most people who first visit the site and dont read(like i did when i first came here) i would think that MP3, Zelda are B games which means they are good but not amazing imo those franchises should always be amazing.

Imo this is getting silly if crysis, halo 3, assassins creed, and mass effect are all undererated i am going to stop paying attention to reviews from this site....i hope GS doesn't make this the only thing the site is known for.

i was right. 8.5 on GS(well i though high 8...ish). great score. certainly doesent put me off the game (i mean 8.5...when is that bad?). flop by SW standards mind.

i wont make a comment on the review since

A) ive gone dark on the game. this means i wont read reviews, previews or watch vids or look at pick. i want spoilers kept to an absolute minimum until oct (europe sucks ass).

B) i havent actually played the game yet so i cant really agree or disagree with the reviewer. i agreed with GS on zelda TP though (games not classic material imho) so we will see.

but yeah....8.5 very nice score.

Because of the opinion of one reviewer? how anout you do the logical thing and read a wide variety of reviews from different sites? By doing so you will realise the game is more then worthy.

That's what I'm saying. If this review is turning you off from the Wii obviously you didn't want one in the first place.

Does anyone honestly trust GS Wii reviews? Honestly, even cows/lemmings have to admit this review is crap. Just like with Zelda, although they gloated, deep down I think they knew something was astray. Fanboys may be blind, but only the dumbest fanboy is completely stupid. Most every gamer likes the core series' on all systems, or at least admit to their merit. For some reason, GS is going against the grain.

Matt at IGN understands Nintendo and Nintendo fans. I don't need to read any other reviews.

I suggest one reviewer on this site stop messing up reviewsand stating misinformation in a review that other reviewers and gamers are not inexperieincing. Get a new X360 or game copy.

Gamespot revamps its review system then contradicts itself in reviews like above. There is one reviewer on this site that is awful at written reviews and flat out gets the general concensus of a games score wrong.

Seriously, this is the worst part of System Wars: When a game is "hyped" a certain score, and then fails to meet said score on Gamespot, it flops. Resistance flopped with an 8.8, Twilight Princess flopped with the same, and now MP3 "flops" with an 8.5? I'd say any game that's hyped which scores over an 8 is a success, but then again, I don't live and die by System Wars rules...

And for the record, I like Gamespot reviews because they're tough, but I think they're generallylow by at least a few points...

i was definately shocked that it didnt get AAA. but w/e, its gs. if i ever get a wii, this will probably stillbe the first the game i pick up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Halo 3 get only a 8.0 to 9.0 TOPS.. With the new grading system they seem to be grading much harder.. Thats why I think they should review some of the top games again with the new system.. Becuase I find it very insulting to see games such as WoW get a 9.5 over so many games.. ITs good but not THAT good and did NOTHING new.. Which seems to be the reason why alot of games are getting lower rated..

Yet they give Wario Ware a higher score..

even if a game FLOPS it can still be a great game....but its just not as good as it was hyped..therefore it flopped.

yeah i am lemming and i got to admit this review is full of contradictions(controls suck and good at the same time? the thing is too much like other metriods but still a good sequel?), did he want to give it a 8.5 and then decided to bash every insignificant detail just to justify his 8.5 rating.
