The 1st official next gen RPG comes out in less than a month

When people think of "next gen RPG" they think of Dragon Age Inquisition or Witcher 3. Little do they know there is actually another and it's coming out very, very soon to PC and Playstation 4. Behold, Bound by Flame...

Made possible by the AAA game studio Spiders, this next generation fantasy epic promises:

Btw it should be noted that Bound by Flame is not coming to Xbox One. It's for the best, as this allows the PC and PS4 versions to reach their full potential. There will be nothing holding them back.

Looks pretty shoddy anyway, seems like a shite version of The Witcher, but we shall see, maybe it'll turn out ok. Developers don't exactly have a good track record either.

Mars: War Logs was okay. Sherlock Holmes is great. Faery was just bad. These guys are so inconsistent.

Next gen my arse, the game is made by spiders, good for a low price but the graphics are not next gen in the slightest.

Looks like this generation's Two Worlds. I hope not but it looks like a small developer trying their best but looking a bit sloppy at the moment.

I'll probably give it a go. looks pretty cool and i do love RPGs, but in no way does that look on par with the witcher or dragon age and in no way is spider an AAA studio and their other games have sucked

OP should read my post and point out its also on 360 and PS3. Only reason there isn't an xbox one version is because they received their dev kits too late and didn't want to fall off schedule. Its sad when people twist facts.

Was thinking the same thing: its on last gen, so it can be "held back". I looked into this game already. It may be ok. I'll wait on the reviews.

It does but I'm getting both of them. Bound by Flame gives off a "Fable meets Kingdom of Amalur" vibe, which is fine for me, especially during this current next-gen gaming drought.

an uprezzed ps360 game doesnt deserve to be called next gen. the most recent risen game looks better than this. the first next gen rpg will be witcher 3. dont expect much out of dragon age, its made with the shitty frostbite 3 engine.

Everything looks really good.....except for combat. If they try to upgrade the combat a bit that would be great.

And of Orcs and men wasnt a bad game at all. I'll keep an eye on this game. Mars War Logs has pretty terrible combat tho. It's a game where you just keep an eye on, but not to optimistic about.

they said on the ps blog it only does a slow down on criticals or perfect blocks... and if you watch the 2nd video (the better video imo) it shows you faster paced combat.

Haven't really followed this much but after looking it up...well it looks ok. I'll hold out for reviews though myself
